Chapter 25 Part I

The young man awoke in the middle of the night. He felt large beads of sweat seep out from his hairline and his forehead. His entire back was soaking wet. In the room, it was completely dark. The only illumination was the bathroom light, which had been left on.

He thought that Sakunthara had already left, so the young man flipped himself onto his other side. He discovered the young woman sleeping beside the bed. In her hand, she was holding a small terry washcloth.

That image brought immense joy to his heart. He gingerly sat up and poured out another glass of the liquid from the pitcher and sipped it, because he thought it was a syrup drink. Right now, he believed her completely about how one should drink lots of water if one had a high fever. He did not suspect at all that the liquid in the glass had antipyretic medication mixed into it.
