Chapter 30 Part I

The young man had to keep the baby sleeping on his chest the entire night because he couldn’t breathe conveniently. After his mother wiped him down, as the little boy was drowsy from the effects of the fever, she was able to give him medicine again. Although Kita vomited some of it out, it was still better than not receiving any medication.

In the morning, the young man was in a state of exhaustion because he had not slept the entire night. Sakunthara tried to help, but she was rejected by him. To add insult to injury, this morning, Nara also had a temperature, even though Sakunthara had separated her and placed her down to sleep far away. However, children had weaker immune systems than adults.

The young woman gave Nara medicine as a precaution before she had a high fever and a throat that was so sore that she could not be nursed. Luckily, she was able to take more medicine than her older brother, although she’d cried irritably and choked a little.
