Chapter 33 Part II

“Are you not yet sleepy today, Thara?” Madam Warakun asked.

“I want to continue watching the drama. It’s at the fun part,” she answered, but the eyes of the person who wanted to watch the drama were staring at the phone instead.

“Every other day, you’ve never watched it, so I’m surprised.”

“Today, Prim is watching the children. I’m not sleepy yet so I wanted to watch the drama to keep you company first, Mother.”

Madam Warakun smiled at the young woman. No matter what she said, her gaze could not be fully hidden from an elder like the Madam. When the drama ended, Madam Warakun chased her off to bed once more.

“Let’s go to sleep,” Madam Warakun urged and walked out first.

“All right.” The young woman nodded lightly and prepared to turn off the television, but the late night news reported a story of a plane crash first. The young woman was all ears, staring at the screen without blinking.
