My heart began to thump

I began to think. The walls of the cell were old but were still thick and a simple torch could not breach those walls. There was one thing I could do at this point which was wait. I had a plan which was to wait until the guards came around to give us food or water. Then I would throw the water at the guard and either run in case he was blinded or they would drag me out, being the prideful Ubokians. If this didn't work then I'd have to wait a long time until my trial, at least 6 months considering how many people were in this jailhouse and how each cell housed 2 inmates.

Surely enough, in a few hours they came. The man I was in the cell with was now groggy and looked fearful. The guards opened the door narrowly, making sure to flash their spear as a warning before placing down a bowl. Quickly I grabbed his hand and pulled it making him drop then shoved the door open and leaped over him, to the exit of the jailhouse. I roughly remembered the layout of the building from when I was escorted but only roughly. I took a right and dashed through only to be met by more guards. These ones carried spears as well but seeing as it was a narrow hallway, I had a slight advantage. "Stop this instant, you dirty Haurian!" yelled the first guard, approaching me. His posture was awkward with many gaps but I knew, as unexperienced as he was, I had no weapon. He lifted up his weapon, preparing to strike down but before he did I kicked him away and grabbed hold of his spear. We tussled for it but I bit his right eye and he let go with a yelp and fell to the floor clutching his eye and screaming helplessly. Seeing this the other guard sighed, "I always have to carry his weight". We neared each other. I had almost no experience with the spear so instead, as we came within reach I backed away and threw my spear to his face. It hit the side of his helmet but that was enough for me to tackle him to the floor, making him drop his spear. There I began to pound his face in until his hands stopped reaching out and his face became a red mess. I stood up and began sprinting even faster, hoping to not meet anymore guards. By now my breath began to accelerate and my heart began to thump
