The Back of the Theater

After Melina had discharged her rage on the noblewoman for the atrocities she had been committing in her dungeon, Lady Zhao was surprisingly still conscious.

Her nose was broken, she was missing a few teeth, and her face was swollen to the point where she could barely see.

"Should we take them with us?" Melina asked me.

We were thinking of taking them to Yuandu to interrogate them, but it felt somewhat risky since we didn't know what kind of magic was placed on them.

If the dungeon had an enchantment, then it was possible that something had been cast on Lady Zhao, too.

"Hmm, we could just move them to one of the bedrooms in the mansion and keep them there for the time being…" I said.

Carrying the two, we went back up to the surface and walked to the largest bedroom upstairs.

Liu kept staring at us with anger after the beating Melina gave to Zhao Lan and kept muttering words to himself about how it was his duty to protect her.
