Together In Slow Life - VIII - [PT.1]

Getting into the gist of things for Scandar was almost second nature, after I confirmed with the Grimalkin that he indeed was a friend and not a foe, they treated him however he wished to be treated.

The man commanded great respect and boasted a presence unlike any other, warm and cozy, homey and snug, yet a single order from him was enough to send shivers down your spine. He looked more like a lion to me right now, spreading his legs for all to see across the savanna. We had set up a table in the room where the Grimalkin had endeared me as their provisional king.

I wasn't too happy about it, but that meant I could bring whoever I wanted into the village now.

There was so much I wanted to ask him, if anyone it was Scandar who could have the answers, after all, Dragonkin has been the longest race to have existed on Cronus.

However the man had asked for a bath and meal first, and now he lay on the soft wooden floor, I believe the Grimalkin made this floor from bamboo or something of the like.

Dragan sat on his knees, nervously opposite his dad.

I on the other hand, really thought this Scandar had more composure, but years in isolation didn't do good for him.

He ate like a best too, goblin down anything the Grimalkin was putting in front of him, yet he just ate and ate. I was mesmerized.

So much for making up with Dragan so we could spend our last few days in this version of the slow life.

It was like your parents suddenly crashed a vacation you had planned with your husband, and were meant to be only the two of you, and now your dad refuses to take a hint.

That's what this felt like.

Nevertheless, his presence was not in vain, I'm sure we could fast forward to the important part of the evening.
