Abhi (thinking):
Of course, it shouldn't be a big deal… I'm a doctor, after all. This is a normal situation for me.
But still… she's not just any patient. She's someone I love.
No. You better not check her yourself.
Yeah, I get it. I'll ask the nurse—or maybe even her mom—to help.
(Just then, the nurse walks in)
Nurse: "Doctor, is everything okay? I saw you carrying someone in."
Abhi: "Oh—yes, everything's fine. Actually, would you mind applying the pain relief spray to her back? She might've strained it in the fall."
Nurse: "Sure, Doctor."
(The nurse walks over to Ishana, preparing to apply the spray.)
Abhi: "Wait—uh, I'll step out for a moment."
Nurse (thinking):
Why would he leave? He could've done this himself. It's just a spray—he's the one who brought her in. Who is this girl to him?
(She begins to unbutton Ishana's shirt carefully. Upon noticing the tight undergarments causing marks and possible discomfort, she removes them gently to allow the spray to work better. After applying the medication, she lets her rest for a while, keeping her covered with a sheet.)
Nurse: "Doctor, I've applied the spray. Also, her undergarments were a bit too tight and could've caused discomfort or circulation issues, so I removed them."
Abhi: "Oh... okay. I'll tell her not to wear anything that tight next time. I'll head in now."
(Abhi walks into the room and freezes.)
Abhi (thinking):
What the—?! She's lying there with no clothes on...
(He immediately turns away and walks back out.)
Abhi: "Nurse! Why didn't you dress her?"
Nurse: "The medication needs some time to absorb—about 10 minutes. I assumed you knew that. I left her covered with a sheet."
Abhi: "Right… I forgot. My head's all over the place right now. Can you get her dressed now? I need to take her home."
Nurse: "Of course, Doctor."
(She goes back in, gently dresses Ishana—except for the undergarments—and returns.)
Nurse: "She's dressed now, sir. But I didn't put the undergarments back on as they were causing issues."
Abhi: "That's fine. Thank you."
(He walks in and gently picks Ishana up again. But as he's about to leave—)
Abhi (thinking):
Her shirt... it's clinging too much... No! Don't do this, Abhi. You're a doctor. Focus.
I can't let myself even think like that.
*(He puts her back on the bed and takes a deep breath.)
Wait—my jacket is in the car. I'll cover her with that.
(He heads to the car, grabs his jacket, and comes back.)
(He places the jacket over her gently, making sure she's covered properly, then picks her up again and walks out to the car.)
(They drive silently. He parks near her house and carries her in his arms through the quiet night. It's around 2 AM. Everyone seems to be asleep. He gently places her in her bed and pulls the blanket over her.)
Abhi (thinking):
It's not the first time I've been in her room...
But now I'm actually noticing things.
There are photos from her childhood all over the wall—she looked so cute. Still does, honestly.
And… are those BTS posters?
So my wife-to-be is a BTS Army. Not bad at all...
(His thoughts are interrupted by her mother entering the room.)
Mother: "So you two are finally back. I've been waiting. Had a lot of fun tonight?"
Abhi: "Yeah, we had a great time. She had a bit too much to drink and fell asleep in the car, so I brought her in."
Mother: "That's good. You should get some sleep now—it's quite late."
Abhi: "Yeah. You too."
Mother: "You know… I wouldn't mind if you stayed here tonight. It might be more convenient."
Abhi: "N-No, thank you. That's kind of you, but I think I should head back."
(thinking)
If I stay here all night, I might lose control over myself. That's not something I'm willing to risk.
Mother: "As you wish. I just thought since you both go out together now, you'd be comfortable staying in the same place. Maybe you're not there yet."
Abhi: "Yeah… maybe not yet."
