Chapter 21

ANA’s POV

As I opened my eyes, I felt a wave of disbelief wash over me. It was as if the events of the party had been erased from my memory. Seeing them in person again, knowing that they thought I was dead, ignited a fire within me. It felt like I was being engulfed in flames, but I resisted the urge to act on my desire for revenge. I knew that rushing into action would only sabotage my carefully laid plans.

My quest for vengeance has only just begun. I will make them suffer, little by little, until they understand the pain, anger, and hatred that I have endured.

I refuse to allow them to hurt me again. Likewise, I won’t let them take pleasure in causing me pain while I suffer. This time, I will make them suffer.

“Ana,”

I paused and turned to the door, but my expression softened when I saw her. “Paris.” I gestured for her to sit, and she smiled at me.

“Are you okay? You've been in your room for days,” she said. I looked away and sighed.

“I didn’t fail last night, did I?” I asked. She shook her head. “I’m sorry if you were worried about me, but don’t worry, I’m fine,” I reassured her. She smiled and took my hand.

“Now that they know you’re alive, what’s your next move? Who will you focus on first?” she asked. I grinned as I looked out the window.

“I’ll start with Mateo. I’ll seduce him until he's hooked, then I’ll play with him until he’s obsessed with me. Then I’ll move on to Chloe and be the cause of their breakup,” I said with a smile. “And that’s just the beginning — I have plenty more surprises in store for them.”

Paris tapped me on the shoulder and said, “I’ll support you, and I’m excited to see Chloe’s reaction.” Then she left my room.

I pulled back the curtain and saw someone waiting at the mansion’s gate. I recognized the car and smiled, knowing my revenge on Mateo had begun.

After getting dressed, I noticed everyone waiting for me except Martin.

“Where’s Martin?” I asked Alexis.

He bowed and said, “He’s at the rice field and factory.”

I nodded and went to the dining area to eat.

“Good morning, Ana! What are your plans for today? Mateo is outside the gate, waiting for you,” Lucas said with a smile. I smiled back.

“I would like to learn how to ride a horse,” I said, looking at them.

“That sounds like a good idea!” they replied.

I smiled and finished eating. As I stood up to leave, Alexis followed me, but I stopped him.

“No need. I can handle myself. If Martin asks about me, he can come to the stable,” I said with a smile, putting on the shades and hat that Alexis handed to me.

I instructed my employees to open the gate and I saw Mateo’s car.

“Ma’am, do you know the owner of the car?”

I nodded to the guard and approached Mateo’s car. I knocked on the window loudly, and it was immediately opened, and his eyes widened when he saw me.

“A-Ana!”

I winced at his appearance because it was obvious he hadn’t slept yet, and I covered my nose because he still smelled of alcohol.

“What are you doing here? This place is sacred, only for the Monticello and their people,” I said to him. He looked flustered and opened the door of his car to face me.

“Uh, I-I was waiting for you!”

I raised an eyebrow but also smirked. “No need. I wasn’t going to talk to you anyway,” I bit my lip and grinned at him before walking towards the stables, which were still quite a distance away.

I heard him shout, “W-wait!”

I ignored him and grinned to myself, knowing he would follow me.

Go on Mateo. Just chase me whenever you want.

“Ana, please, can we talk?” he asked as he walked alongside me. I pushed him away.

“Stay away from me!” I said in annoyance and quickened my pace because he was being too persistent.

“Please?”

I just rolled my eyes and shook my head at him.

“Ana, where are you going?”

I stopped in irritation and faced him. “I said stay away from me. If your wife sees us, she will confront me.” I said in annoyance. He just shrugged at me and continued to follow me.

“I will protect you.”

I stopped in my tracks by what he said. How many times have I heard those words from him before? He’s always making promises, but eventually, he just betrayed me. I clenched my fists as my blood began to boil.

“Please…”

I angrily stopped and faced him again. “What part of what I said don’t you understand? And protect me from whom? Do you even hear what you’re saying?” I just shook my head with a wry smile. “That line is so overused, Mateo. How many times have I heard that from you?”

He stopped and apologized, but I just shook my head in frustration. I rolled my eyes and kept walking towards the stable, but he continued to pester me. I glanced at him and grinned, seeing that he was already infatuated with me.

“Ana, do you want to ride a horse? Aren’t you afraid of horses?”

I was taken aback by his question. I replied,

“That was then, not now!” and rolled my eyes.

As I entered the stable, the workers greeted me.

“Good morning, Lady Ana!”

“You look stunning, lady Ana!”

I smiled at them and greeted them back. A staff member of Martin then accompanied me to show me the horses.

“I will introduce you to Don Martin’s favorite horses,” Julian said with a smile. “I’m Julian, lady.”

I smiled at Julian and followed him inside.

“Ana, are you sure you’re not scared anymore?”

I grimaced as I remembered that Mateo was with me. I took a deep breath and turned to him, irritably.

“Can you please shut up? I’m getting annoyed with your mouth!” I said irritably to him, and he closed his mouth, so I turned away from him.

“Are you ready, lady Ana?”

I swallowed and I nodded in response.

Mateo is right. I’m scared of horses because I feel like I’ll die immediately if they kick me. Julian entered the pen and brought out a big horse that was very dark.

The horse suddenly made a noise, so I screamed and jumped, and Mateo carried me.

“So you’re not scared anymore, huh?”

I opened my eyes wide when I noticed that he was carrying me, so I coughed and got down from his arms and gave him a death stare.

“Don’t act like you own the place, TSK.” I said. Mateo just smirked and crossed his arms, but I just rolled my eyes.

“Lady Ana?”

I jumped and straightened up. “Yes!”

Julian laughed and brought the black horse closer to me, causing me to step back, almost feeling myself pale.

Damn it! Calm down, Ana! You’re embarrassing yourself.

“This is Hulk, owned by Don Martin. He is one of the gentle horses here,” Julian said with a smile. I just smiled back at him. “You can hold him because he is gentle. You will easily get along with him once you ride him. Don Martin told us that you can ride any horse you want, even though he owns them.”

I nodded at him and swallowed as I slowly held Hulk, and I noticed that he didn’t move, so I stroked him and smiled.

“Do you remember Brown, Ana? He used to be like this to you before, right?”

I stopped, and my smile faded as I remembered Mateo’s horse from when we visited San Alfonso before. I didn’t notice the size of the town because I only went there once.

I took a deep breath and looked at

Mateo. “I have already forgotten about the meaningless things that happened back then,” I said, causing him to fall silent. I then faced Julian and smiled at him.

“I want to ride him, Julian,” I said. Julian smiled and nodded at me.

“I will teach you,” he said.

I nodded at Julian, and we were about to leave when Mateo pulled me out of the stable and into an abandoned room.

“Let me go! What are you doing!” I shouted at him while struggling against his grip.

“You’re mine, Ana.”

I stopped and furrowed my brow at him, and he suddenly pushed me against the wall and kissed me. I smirked as I thought of another way to tease Chloe. So, I firmly held on to his shoulder and let him kiss me.

He lowered his kisses to my neck and sucked, causing me to let out a soft moan. I subtly took my phone from my shorts pocket and discreetly recorded what he was doing to me.

“You’re mine,” he whispered as he lifted me, so I held on to him and hugged him while he continued to kiss my neck.

I held Mateo’s head and whispered to him, “Yes, I’m yours.”

I’m starting to seduce you, Mateo, until you fall into my trap and in the end, I will leave you like trash.

I smirked when I noticed that I had sent the video to his wife without her knowing that I was with her husband. I can’t wait to see her f–cking face. And, I’m sure, Chloe is now seething with anger.

I looked over at Mateo, who had passed out after I had given him a sleeping pill while he was kissing me earlier.

This is not the end yet.

I approached him and noticed a bucket filled with mud and horse poop, so I took it and poured its contents on Mateo while he was still asleep. I looked at him and grinned before turning away.

I glanced at Mateo as if he were trash in the mud. “That’s where you belong, in the mud,” I said, straightened my clothes, and walked out as if nothing had happened.

I took the alcohol from my bag and sprayed it on my body because he might have germs. I can’t believe I married him before. It’s like only now that I regret not listening to his mother. TSK.

“Ana.”

I stopped in my tracks but smiled when I saw Martin waiting for me. I ran towards him.

“Martin, have you been waiting long?” I asked as I held on to his arm, but then I stopped. “Wait, did you hear us? Was I good at acting?” I chuckled because I felt like there was someone outside, so I knew it was Martin.

It’s just embarrassing because it seems like he heard my acting. Gosh. I was just stopped when he removed my hand from his arm and I looked at him, but I looked down when I noticed that he seemed to be digging into my whole being with his gaze.

I straightened up when he held my nape and neck. “He left a mark,” he said as he brought his lips close to my ear. “This is mine,” he whispered, causing my eyes to widen, but I couldn’t move from my spot because of his touches on me. “Hmm… Take a shower when we get home to get rid of the bacteria,” he added.

I glanced at him and couldn’t help but burst into laughter. “Martin, you made my day,” I said. I held on to his arm again, but I knew he was still frowning.

He’s normal. Whether he’s frowning or not, that’s just how he is. He-he.

I touched my neck and clenched my fists because I really intended to leave a mark on my neck to drive Chloe crazy thinking if it were me or another woman with Mateo.

Poor Chloe. If Mateo was able to deceive me, how much more you? Hmm… Let’s see how you would feel if your husband was the one deceiving you and I became his mistress. I can’t wait for that to happen.

“Hey, did you enjoy his kiss?”

I stopped and turned to Martin as we walked home to the mansion. I raised my eyebrows, but then just laughed because I noticed that his ears were turning red. So, I leaned my body against his.

“I’m all yours, Don Martin!” I exclaimed. He gave me a look, but then just looked away.

“You bitch.”

I just laughed at him and shook my head as I looked back at the abandoned room where Mateo lay unconscious and smiled.

Poor Mateo.
