The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

Breaker: From A Nobody To A Villainess

All that Ash could do in her present situation was to make use of what was available.

The Tonfa would only help her for so long when used against Spirits of lower grades so there would be a need to get a Spirit Weapon that could assist her.

There were still some problems related to relying on such weapons since they would still get in the way of her Life Energy usage during combat.

They could greatly reduce the danger involved and help to assist her in hunting Spirits but they would restrict her personal growth.

Despite there being several advantages and disadvantages to using such tools to assist her in combat, it was slightly better for Ash to learn more so that she would have more to rely on.

If she ever ran out of Life Energy in the middle of combat then there would be times when she would have to rely on a tool to protect herself or to finish the fight.
