The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

Breaker: From A Nobody To A Villainess

Perhaps the rumours were true but nothing had been confirmed so far.

The only things they had to go on was that rumours were going around and that they had been unable to get in contact with the bosses for some time.

Sometimes those two things would be enough to make them think about it being true but not everyone was so willing to take the risk unless it was confirmed.

More among them started to speak up to make their points clear that everyone should stop talking about such things if they did not want to get into trouble.

They soon came to a tactic understanding that everyone around them was a potential witness that could report something back to the bosses if they did return so they no longer were so open about any of their plans.

The seeds of mistrust and doubt had already been planted among them that would begin to cause division among them as time passed.
