Ur Vs. Ultear

Earth Land, Ishgar, Kingdom of Fiore, Crocus.

July 6, x791.

"[Ice-Make: Lance]" x 2

*Crash!* *Crash!* *Crash!* *Crash!* *Crash!*

After holding their poses for a moment, both Ur and Ultear cast their first spells in unison. Creating almost five dozen [Ice Lances] in an instant, they sent them flying at each other with great force and speed. Yet, neither was able to land a blow on the other, even a glancing one, because they perfectly countered each other's cast.

"[Ice-Make: Gatling Gun]." Ultear managed to chat er next spell first.

*Whirl!*

In the next instant, Ultear cut off the flow of magic power to the [Lance] spell. Then, in less than a second, a large gatling gun made of ice was eld against Ultear's right hip and the six barrels began to spin.

However, Ur had no intention of just letting herself get shot, as she also once again made her casting gesture.

"[Ice-Make: Dalia]." Ur chanted as she pressed her hands to the ground.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

*Shatter!* *Shatter!* *Shatter!* *Shatter!* *Shatter!*

Then, just as Ultear's gatling gun began to fire, Ur's flower defense rose from the ground, defending against Ultear's onslaught. However, both Ur and Ultear could tell that the [Dahlia] would not last for long if Ultear continued to fire at the rate she was. Even so, it bought Ur enough time to cast an offensive spell of her own.

"[Ice-Make: Rosen Krone]." Ur chanted before once again slamming her hands on the ground.

Meanwhile, Ultear, after feeling the magic power moving underground from her mother's location towards her, leapt high into the air while continuing to fire her gatling gun at Ur's defensive flower.

*Crash!* x 4

However, before she could even reach the peak of her jump, four large, ice roses with thorny stems grew from the ground and pursued her into the sky. Yet, Ultear did not panic, instead turning her gatling gun on the ice roses and shattering them into ice chips with her constant fire.

"[Ice-Make: Rose Garden]." Ur chanted once again, this time aiming her hands at the airborne Ultear.

With that chant, several smaller ice roses were summoned from Ur's ands and rapidly grew towards Ultear, intending to bind and mobilize her. On top of that, Ur had much finer control of these smaller roses' movements. So, she did not allow them to be so easily destroyed like the [Rosen Krone] spell.

"Tch!" Ultear clicked her tongue as she let her gatling gun fall to the ground. She then slipped on the claw-weapons hanging on her waist, her [Soul Armament, Kinsi, before making her casting gesture once again. "[Ice-Make: Claws]."

In the next instant, ice covered both Ultear's hands and claw-weapons. Then, as soon as the ice roses got close, she started swinging her hands rapidly to tear them apart. And because of the rebound force from each strike, Ultear never lost altitude.

Unfortunately for Ultear, that gave Ur the time to cast another spell.

"[Ice-Make: Geyser]." Ur chanted as she pressed her hands to the ground once again.

*Boom!*

In the next instant, a stream of sharp ice shards was shot up at Ultear from directly below her. However, just like when she defended against the ice roses, she simply continued to swing her arms to destroy and deflect the incoming ice shards. She even managed to send more than a few in Ur's direction to keep her on her toes.

"Not bad, Tear." Ur said while dodging an incoming ice shard. "You really have grown. Both you and Gray have grown so much, and I'm so proud of both of you. But you've still got a long way to go. [Ice-Make: Aurora Bullet]."

With that, a large magic bullet exuding an extremely low temperature formed in front of Ur.

*Boom!*

Then, faster than the speed of sound, Ur used her magic power to fire the ice bullet at Ultear, who was still midair. However, instead of panicking at the powerful spell, Ur could see her daughter smiling.

"Arc of Time Magic: Flash Forward]." Ultear chanted.

In the next instant, Ur's [Aurora Bullet] melted rapidly before the water evaporated, leaving Ur watching with a stunned expression on her face. However, Ultear was nowhere near finished.

"[Arc of Time magic: Restore]." Ultear continued to chant, causing many of the destroyed ice shards from Ur's [Geyser] to be restored in the air next to her.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

Then, as she finally began to fall towards the ground, Ultear lashed kicks at all the reconstituted ice shards, sending them hurdling at Ur, snapping her mother out of her dumbfounded daze.

"[Ice-Make: Rose Whips]." Ur chanted after quickly making her casting gesture. She then unraveled Artemesia from around her right thigh as it was covered in ice while a second ice whip appeared in her other hand.

*Shatter!* *Shatter!* *Shatter!* *Shatter!* *Shatter!*

"[Arc of Time Magic: Parallel Worlds]." Ultear chanted once again before kicking the last few ice shards in Ur's direction.

A moment later, the sky avobe Ur was covered by hundreds of ice shards, each one representing the possible outcome of Ultear kicking ice shards at her mother from a parallel timeline.

"What in the hell is this?" Ur asked in dumbfounded amazement as her eyes widened in surprise at the sky filled with falling ice shards.

Flaring her magic power to the limit, Ur's movements sped up even further. And to the surprise of everyone who could see it, she managed to destroy every incoming ice shard, despite the large number that were falling towards her.

Even Ultear, who had cast the spell, was surprised as she fell towards the ground. However, that did not stop her from casting another spell wen the number of ice shards was dwindling closer and closer to zero.

"Arc of Time Magic: Luminous Minutes]." Ultear chanted.

With that, the last few ice shards approaching Ur stopped in place. Then, like before, they reproduced. However, instead of just falling towards her, they were accelerated to an absurd degree, turning into streaks in the air as they slammed into Ur, who could not adapt to the change in speed quickly enough.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

"Ahh~~~~~~~!" Ur screamed in pain as she was rag dolled by the ice shards.

Meanwhile, Ultear finally reached the ground. And as soon as she did, she dashed towards Ur at top speed. Then, when she finally arrived in front of Ur, her mother was standing there in pain, her vision swimming from an undoubted concussion from taking a hit to the head from an ice sard.

*Bang!*

However, Ultear showed no mercy, throwing a palm strike into her mother's abdomen that caused her to keel over. She ten followed up by raising her knee into Ur's face before smashing her ice covered right palm into the back of her mother's head and driving it into the ground.

*Boom!*

And with the force of the slam, a cloud of dust and debris was kicked up, obscuring the audience's view of Ur and Ultear. Yet, the sound of panting could be heard from the inside of the cloud. However, the fact that there was only one person panting made it clear that someone had been eliminated.

"*Pant* *Pant* *Pant* Damn… I still need to train more with [Arc of Time Magic]." Ultear muttered to herself as the dust cloud settled. "Sure, I can use it with no problem. But it still doesn't feel like second nature yet. And I tend to use more magic power than necessary when I have to use it in serious situations."

"[Sky God's Bellow]."

Hearing that voice while feeling the spike in magic power on her left, Ultear quickly spun on her heels and made her casting gesture.

"[Ice-Make: Dalia]." Ultear chanted as an ice dahlia grew from the ground between her and the swirling black winds that approached.

*Crash!*

Yet, to Ultear's surprise, the dahlia shattered near instantly. Luckily, she had just enough time to get from behind the ice construct. Then, when she looked up to see who had attacked her, she saw a relatively short young woman with pink hair and blue eyes charging towards her.

"Damn it, I used too much magic power fighting Mom." Ultear muttered. "I should have just released Kinsi for that fight. At least I wouldn't be so drained right now."

Though she said that to herself, Ultear knew that if she had released Kinsi, Ur would have done the same with Artemesia. And if that happened, there's no telling who would have won.

'She's clearly low on magic power.' Sherria thought to herself while continuing to charge towards Ultear. 'This is my chance.'

"[Sky God's Blizzard]." Sherria chanted once she was in range for close combat.

With her chant, Sherria through a high kick with her left foot, aiming at Ultear's chin. And as she did so, her body was coated in the black winds of her [Sky God Slayer Magic].

Meanwhile, Ultear, despite her low amount of magic power, was able to once again coat her hands with her [Ice Claws] before deflecting Sherria's kick with her right hand. She then slashed upwards with her left claw.

However, Sherria, spinning with her deflected kick, quickly avoided the claw swipe before stomping her left foot on the ground and continuing to turn with a right roundhouse kick.

Surprised by how seamlessly Sherria shifted from one move to the next, Ultear was forced to step backwards to avoid the kick. However, before she could step forward to counterattack, she had to slap away a right cross aimed at her left jaw.

Yet, Sherria was relentless. And the look in her eyes let Ultear know that she would not be slowing down any time soon. So, she was forced to defend against Sherria's onslaught, using her ice claws to deflect as many blows as she could. However, she realized that something was wrong before too long.

'The wind coating her body is keeping my ice from slowing her down.' Ultear thought to herself. 'Fighting her at close range when I'm low on magic power isn't the best idea.'

As soon as that thought formed in her head, Ultear leapt backwards while making her casting gesture.

"[Ice-Make: Lance]." Ultear chanted while still in midair.

Then, as soon as Ultear landed on the ground, two dozen ice spears formed in front of her outstretched hands towards Sherria.

"[Sky God's Boreas]." Sherria chanted while stretching her hands to either side.

With the end of her chant, black wind began swirling in Sherria's outstretched hands. Then, before Ultear's [Lances] could get too close, she brought her hands together in front of her and pushed the black winds forward.

With that, the swirling black winds expanded into a cyclone that began racing forward towards Ultear. On top of that, the cyclone began to expand before separating into a total of three cyclones.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me." Ultear muttered as she watched her [Lances] shatter before mixing in with the three cyclones closing in on her. She then made her casting gesture once again and slammed her hands onto the ground while pumping the remainder of her magic power into the spell. "[Ice-Make: Volcano]."

*Rumble!*

A moment later, the ground under the three cyclones began to shake before an ice mountain shot out of the ground, dispersing them. Then, when the mountain grew as much as it could, it began spewing sharp ice shards from its top. And thanks to Ultear's magic power control, they all sprayed in Sherria's direction.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

"Kya~~~~~!" Sherria screamed as she was hit by several ice shards and thrown back threw a wall.

"*Pant* *Pant* *Pant* Now, I just need to find a safe place to recover my magic power." Ultear muttered to herself while looking at the collapsed wall and ice shards that surrounded the place where Sherria was thrown. "*Sigh* But that's gonna be a lot harder with the rest of Alfonzo's---"

*Crumble!*

Before Ultear could finish voicing her thought, she heard the sound of the rubble from the collapsed wall starting to move. And when she saw Sherria, covered in frost, cuts, and bruises digging herself out of the rubble, her eyes opened wide in surprise.

"You're a lot tougher than I thought." Ultear said loud enough for Sherria to hear.

"[Sky God's Zephyros]." Sherria chanted softly while wincing in pain.

In the next instant, Ultear's mouth fell wide open as well as she watched a dim light cover Sherria's body before all of her wounds were healed near instantly.

"Damn..." Ultear muttered as she slowly raised her body and took her fighting stance for a final stand. "I hate fighting people who can heal themselves."

Unfortunately, Ultear was so drained from both fighting her mother and using almost all of her magic power in the [Volcano] spell that she could barely even react before Sherria had once again charged in front of her.

"[Sky God's Dance]." Sherria chanted as she twisted her torso.

A moment later, both Ultear and Sherria were surrounded by a whirlwind of black winds. And to Ultear's surprise, those winds lifted her into the air while the sharp winds left small cuts all over her body.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

However, that was apparently not enough for Sherria. Because after a few seconds, she leapt up into the whirlwind. Meanwhile, as the whirlwind caused her to spin around Ultear, she threw a barrage of punches and kicks that landed on Ultear with little resistance.

*Boom!*

A few moments later, as the whirlwind dissipated, Ultear and Sherria fell to the street below. However, while Sherria landed on her feet with a slight stumble, Ultear crashed to the ground without being able to break her fall.

"*Cough* Not only are you *Cough* tougher than I expected..." Ultear wheezed out while looking up at Sherria. "But you're *Cough* stronger than I expected, too."

"Thank you very much." Sherria said with a polite bow and a smile, clearly happy about being praised.

"I'd love to see you fight with Wendy." Ultear said as her eyes began to close.

"Wendy?" Sherria asked as she tilted her head cutely while the ribbons tying up her short pigtails swayed with the movements.

"[Fairy Tail's Sky Dragon Slayer..." Ultear mumbled as she lost consciousness.

Hearing that, Sherria showed quite a bit of interest, looking forward to meeting this, Wendy. However, before she could start moving to find another opponent, she was eliminated without even seeing what happened when a bolt of golden lightning fell on her from above.
