Mana Supercar

On Earth, 2133.

"Have you heard about that game, <

"Isn't that a fully immersive game that is a lot more advanced than the others, said to have a fully accessible entire universe? It sounds amazing, but we are just too poor right now, we don't even have the funds to buy enough virtual helmets for our players."

The managers of the new esports club, Heaven's Uprising, were discussing the future game that was going to open to the public for the first time in a year.

"For now, we should develop in <>, it is still the most popular immersive game."

"Not for long…"

<> was the 'game' that Yu Sheng had transmigrated into, right now, he only had around a year until the closed beta opened, and he noticed this as the interface began to display a countdown timer.

The closed beta is opening soon? This is the first introduction of the players… I need to speed up my plans, I guess I have to release this prototype version of the [Mana Supercar].

It had been a couple of weeks since Yu Sheng opened the Imperial Workshop, and he had levelled his skill: [Basic Mana Application] up to level 17, meaning he could somewhat infuse magnetic properties into his mana, but not to the desired extent.

However, the car was now many times easier to control and a bit faster than usual cars, and it also cost no expense, the mana came from Yu Sheng, and he could produce an infinite amount of mana with the mana pool.

Mana was an intangible thing and it could be added to other things to make them stronger, this was Yu Sheng's basic understanding of mana. Mana was really just condensed Power, which when condensed forms a pool near the heart and lungs.

Yu Sheng was not a Magus, he didn't understand Mana as well as they did.

It is the end of the day, I have completed the first working prototype of the Mana Supercar, I should go to sleep and sell it tomorrow, the starting price will be $7 million BLD! There is only one, so the price will rise exponentially.

Yu Sheng was satisfied and was about to go to sleep before he heard someone enter the workshop.

"What do you have in this place?" The man asked.

"Have a look." Yu Sheng did not take kindly to the man's rude tone as he mirrored it.

"Heh? Who do the hell do you think you are talkin to? I'm in the army, who are you? A simple, lowly Mechanic, nothing el-"

Bang!

The man fell to the ground, dead from a bullet to the head.

Yu Sheng sighed and tucked his pistol back into his jacket.

Death is inevitable, am I evil for simply speeding the process up? Even if I am evil, what does it matter? Dreams and ideals, emotions and feelings, all of these are confined by the limitations of human nature. A Transcendent transcends the realm of humanity, therefore, what need is there to still act, look and seem like a human?

He left the body there, with a sign placed next to it.

It read: 'An example.'

The next day.

Many customers came in excited but left distraught. There was a dead body on the floor and an even scarier sign beside it.

It was an example of what? What if they did something similar with knowing what it was, and they met the same fate?

Why are these people so affected by it? Everyone dies. This is hurting my business, I should remove the sign and body before anyone else comes and sees it.

Yu Sheng pulled a lever and the door to his workshop closed and shutters came down, this was a useful function Yu Sheng had designed.

He cleaned up his mess, replaced the sign and reopened the workshop. The sign now read 'Sorry for that.'

A few hours passed, and Yu Sheng gained around $700,000 before a man donned in a leather suit walked in.

He said, "I have heard that you have the presumed fastest Supercar here," His eyes flashed with an excited glint that Yu Sheng barely noticed. "I would like to buy it, any price is fine."

"20 million." Yu Sheng realised the opportunity and increased the price tremendously.

"Come on, 18 should be fine."

"19."

"18.5."

"19."

18.75?"

"20. I am not going down at all, I gave you too many chances at 19."

"Fine!" The rich man conceded, albeit with reluctance. "Before I pay you, let me test it, I

will see if it is worth the money"

"Sure." Yu Sheng gestured at the passenger seat and confused the man.

Noticing the man's expression, he explained: "I

will drive there, you will test it there."

"Oh, what track are you going to?"

"The one at the edge of Greveng."

"That is way too far from here, it will take too long!"

Yu Sheng grinned: "Just wait and see."

Twenty-five minutes later, they traversed the usually hour-long journey at an amazing speed.

In this world, there was no measure of speed such as miles per hour, speed was relative to the power output of the machine.

The Mana Supercar had a power output of around 2600/minute, normals cars had an average output of 1260/minute.

"Wow! This car is spectacular! May I ask how you made this?"

"For the rapid acceleration, I cannot disclose information regarding that. But as for everything else, the car's body is made up of two thin reinforced layers of steel, in between the layers is a large skeletal cable system which sustains the moving of power throughout the car towards areas where it is required. As for the power source, it is closely related to the matter of the acceleration so I will not talk about it."

The Mana Supercar was very unique, the cables inside the car were between the two metal covers, and the cables were in a skeletal cable system. This meant the cables were arranged like bones, and the outer metal was like muscle, the entire car was like a mechanical suit with outstanding speed, it even had weapons hidden in precarious positions of the 'body'.

This is my best invention yet. Yu Sheng was very proud after observing the Mana Supercar's performance. This was his first time testing it too, and he was more than satisfied.

It seems the two unique concepts worked. Furthermore, now I have more than enough money to begin my plans.
