Hopeless Repetition (part 4)

"Were you, perhaps… already knew that she was going to die?"

Ezekiel asked, but I only shook my head at him.

"Do you find joy… in torturing others?"

I asked him, and Ezekiel grinned as he answered.

"Not really. But, it's always so fun seeing my enemies suffer."

"So, I am your enemy, huh…?"

"Well, if not, then what are you?"

I just continued to shake my head at Ezekiel, not doing anything else. Ezekiel noticed that I was being way too calm for this, even though I just saw my mom died right in front of me. And seeing how calm I am, he began to have guesses.

"You are… oddly calm right now."

I didn't say a word, because I know that it is odd how calm I am. She is my mom, and seeing her die right in front of me has no longer affected me. After all, I have seen her die five hundred times now.

"Perhaps… have you seen this happen before?"
