The Bigger Picture

We just got done flying and I'm worn out. I have never really flown much before and when I have it was nothing like this. Now I am just sitting on a cloud waiting for my mother to get back from talking to God. I could fall asleep on these clouds of cotton.

" Honey, wake up." Mom said shaking me

"What?" I asked

" You fell asleep but I don't blame you, it's so comfy up here compared to Hell. Well actually compared to anywhere else that matters, he said with a wink

" So Mom, what did God tell you?"

"Why don't I tell you myself." someone said

I turned around and to my surprise, I saw a small man.

"Who are you?"

"I"m the one known as God," he said

"Wow, I can't believe it's you. I was expecting you to be much different."

"Let me guess you thought I was going to be taller and buff," he asked

"Well yeah actually."

"I teach my children to be humble and I like to do the same." he declared

"Oh, I understand."

"So let's talk about why your here right now," he said

I gulped. Even though God took the shape of a short old man he still held all this power of his being.

"Let's," I said while smiling

"So I agreed about you going on earth for a year which you know about. But you need to follow the rules I have for you while on this trip," he said

"That sounds reasonable but what are the rules?" I asked

He handed me a piece of paper. And it read…..

Rule number 1: You aren't allowed to show your true form

Rule number 2: You can't tell anyone who your parents are

Rule number 3: You can't use any of your powers

Rule number 4: You must go to school.

"Why? " I asked.

"You must follow all these rules it's what's best," he said

I've never been to an actual school before, there's no need for school in hell and my parents never had any time to homeschool me.

"Okay, I promise I won't break any of these rules."

"Good girl," he said while my mom nodded in my direction

I had almost forgotten she was there. I was so fixated on this conversation.

"Now about you meeting a fellow teenager that has recently died…" he said

"Oh, I'm so excited. Well, not that the kid had to die but that I get to meet someone my age."

"I figured that's what you meant," he said

I didn't know what to say so I waited on him to continue.

"You must give me a few minutes to get him ready. He just got here and he's quite confused along with the rest of the people who have died so far today," he said

I just nodded while thinking what a weird thing to say.

"Honey, while God explains to the young boy he has picked out to talk to you, how about we go for a fly?"Mom offered

" What a wonderful idea Alisa" God answered.

Mom flew me around the earth. Wow, the earth is huge when you get close enough to it. I wonder how it will feel when I'm on that planet.

"So Mom, where does Madison live?" I asked

"She lives in a place called Sunrise, Florida," she said

"I wonder what it looks like." I wondered

"Well you'll see soon enough dear but I just want you to remember the reason why we are sending you away. It's for you to choose your fate, not to have fun and do whatever you want," she said

Why does she have to remind me? After all, I'm practically fully grown up.

"Yes, Mother.

"Come, I think it's time for you to meet someone new," she said

I can't wait to meet someone new. Well I mean for the second time today I did just meet the Lord.

"Oh my I see him over there, Mom," I said

"Go ahead over, God is waiting for me to assist him but when you guys are done talking I'll come back for you," she said

"Thanks, Mom," I said

I took my time flying over to him.

"Um hey", the boy said

"Hi my name is Luna"

"Yeah dude God just told me that., he said

"Dude?" I asked

"Uh sorry man. Hey, your wings are wicked cool., he said

"Seriously, did you just call me a man after you called me dude? But thanks for the compliment." I said

"Yeah sorry bro it's just this is happening so fast one minute I'm outside chilling on my motorcycle and the next second I'm dead," he said

What is with this guy calling me all these guy names he does know I'm a girl right? I hope not all people on Earth are as dumb.

"If you don't mind me asking what's a motorcycle?" I asked

"Your hilarious Luna." he chuckled

"Sure I'm a real jokester," I said sarcastically

"Totally," he said

This is getting me nowhere. I thought I was going to learn a thing or two but that's looking very unlikely.

"So totally what's your name?" I asked

"Oh yeah my name is Markiss but my friends call me Mark," Mark said

"Cool, no offense but let's get this show on the road. You're meant to answer questions I have for you." I said

"Chill dude, no need to get upset," Mark said

"I'm not upset," I said

Although I am annoyed by Mark.

"You're upset, it's okay to show your emotions bro," he said

"What is with you? I'm a girl. Is it too hard for you to label me by my sex? Or will your brain explode from trying to think?" I said

"Ouch, come on that hurt. Apologize, man," he said

"You must be the real jokester if you think I'm apologizing," I said as I flew away.

Wow, I can't believe that boy didn't like me. How will I be able to go to school on Earth if that boy couldn't even finish a conversation with me? I thought as I cried flying home.
