It's Time
The three of us quickly arrived at another city. It was similar to the Night-Love City in how it handled matters. There were even several statues strewn about the city both big and small. Professional and hobbyist types. This city was familiar though. It was Purple Phoenix City.
"Isn't this Purple Phoenix City? This is the place Husband was born." Xiu Che said, looking around at everything with great intrigue.
"That's right, this is the city I came from. It's quite refreshing to come back to one's roots." I said, walking through the city and seeing the changes that have occurred over the last several years. It's been about two decades since I was last here.
"Is that the reason you left this place for last?" Huo Lei asked, walking arm in arm with me.
"There are many reasons. But first and most of all, I wanted to come here. I even offered to take on more city inspections just to guarantee it. This is the place I was born and where I learned of my love for meat buns. This, yes, This…" I said, slowly coming to a stop. I looked around and noticed that people were staring and gossiping among themselves.
"Husband, are you alright? Something is different about you now." Xiu Che asked, after noticing something was off. Even going as far as to lean on my chest and stare up into my eyes. Her eyes conveyed she was worried.
I smiled and kissed her. "It's fine, just my Qi going crazy again. I suspect I won't be able to hold it back for much longer." I said, twirling Huo Lei in close and giving her a kiss. "I was right to come back to my birthplace. My only regret is… my birth mother is not here to witness her son rise to the peak of this world's cultivation." I said, with an increased strain on keeping the tribulation at bay.
~~Inside my Knowledge Sea~~
The waters became tumultuous and rapid. Swirling into numerous tornadoes made of water. Lightning struck everywhere all the time. And storms raged. The Dragon Image swimming roared with prestige. And the whole Sea would pulse like a heartbeat with every rumble of thunder.
Swells formed as waves crashed against the walls of the Knowledge Sea. With such great force the water would curve back up the edge to the sky and fall back down. Turning the sea into rain drops.
Fang Qing and Shandain were protected through a combined effort on their part. With what little aid I could give them during this time they would be just fine. However, the situation here was not ideal. Though it was quite similar to previous breakthroughs Just with a far more intense ferocity than before. And then a small part of the Knowledge Sea managed to expand.
~~Outside my Knowledge Sea in Purple Phoenix City~~
"That's not good, this is bad. Really bad." I said, after feeling that small expansion occur in my Knowledge Sea. "There is no avoiding or suppressing it any longer." I added, breathing a little heavy.
Gigantic and chaotic Tribulation clouds began to form in the skies above not only the city but the entirety of the Purple Phoenix Palace.
"You really can be a pain at times. Especially when you're breaking through." A man's voice said, appearing out of seemingly nowhere. "Unfortunately I don't think it's a good idea for you to break through here. I'll take you out first." He continued.
It was Yang Kai who was wearing a somewhat difficult expression at the moment. Then with his will I was brought out of the Void World. But before Yang Kai could leave to watch what happens.
"Father-in-law, if my Husband is breaking through I want to witness it. It's my duty!" Xiu Che cried out quickly.
"Hmm… You both may come if you wish. But you must listen to instructions and follow them without question. It's not exactly safe out there as I'm sure you have been made well aware of by now." Yang Kai said, now waiting for a reply.
"Sister Xiu Che and I will follow Father-In-Law's instructions. We won't get in the way." Huo Lei said, with confidence. And bringing a fist to her chest. "I don't want to wait here not knowing my Husband's condition. I want to be there to congratulate him properly." She added.
"Big Sister is right, I want to be there to properly praise Husband's efforts when he succeeds in his breakthrough." Xiu Che declared with a fire in her eyes.
"Good, when you come out, you'll stay on the ship. Do not leave it and stay out of the way." Yang Kai said, opening up the portal for the two of them to come out as well.
~~On the Dawn Ship just outside Blue Sky Pass~~
Out stepped the two sister wives Huo Lei and Xiu Che. What they saw was a bustling group of people all with strengths they couldn't begin to comprehend. They were the members of Dawn squad all actively surveying the area and managing the Ships arrays.
"Oh wow, so the two of you came to watch Little Leiji breakthrough? Aren't you two just absolutely adorable? You must really love him a whole lot to want to come here of all places. But don't you worry, this mother-in-law will surely keep you safe. Little Leiji would never forgive me if even a single hair was harmed." Bai Yi said with a smile and took charge of them.
"Good, the timing isn't very convenient at the moment. That tribulation is going to be something for certain. It destabilized a small part of my Small Universe just from the start of it. I do hope he will be able to live inside my Small Universe after this." Yang Kai said with a hint of worry. "Either way, I need a few breaths to fix this. I'll be relying on dawn for this matter." Yang Kai sighed.
"Don't worry Team leader, your son is safe in our hands. The Ink Clan won't be able to do anything to him. Though I'm surprised that such a reaction happened from the Emperor Realm Promotion of just one man. Even if that man is your son." Shen Ao said, first confident and then confused. Rightfully so.
