Breakthrough

"Everyone back away from Leiji! It is about to be unsafe for you and him if you stay anywhere near him. Get behind an Ancient Phoenix or Dragon at once for your own safety." The Dragon emperor ordered, simultaneously releasing his suppressive force on me. 

"I guess I should do the same." The Phoenix Empress said, releasing her suppression. 

"Good luck, Little Leiji!" Smiles said, releasing her suppression. 

"Everyone listen, my son is about to break through and form his Dao Seal. Pay close attention and try to learn from this event. Once it is over I'll send you back to cultivate." Yang Kai instructed. 

"My disciple has really gone above me now hasn't he?" Feng Fei Qiang sighed lightly and then looked up to watch the event unfold. "It's my duty to watch him spread his wings and soar." She thought with a tear rolling down her cheek. 

~~In The Sky~~

The Young Ladies mostly fled. Only a couple of rebellious teams tried to charge forward. "I can't lose this time. I… Must grab him!" They thought, as they attempted to press forward. Lightning and Thunder Surged. Space and Time became distorted. And the young ladies were slammed into the ground, the Walls of the Pass, the Parasol Tree, and even a couple of houses. Each of the ladies suffered heavy damage. And rescues were sent to them immediately. 

"AHH!!!!" I yelled out in pain. Followed by a Phoenix cry and a Dragon's Roar. Each relapsing until all three sounded through the void at once. Through Time and Space, compounding together to release a single deafening sound. Lightning struck around in the void everywhere seemingly without pattern or direction. Thunder pounded making even Great Dragons and Great Phoenixes skip a breath. 

~~Star Boundary~~

The Great Emperors had gathered at High Heaven Palace. Today was Disciple Selection for all the Cave Heaven's and Paradises. But the Great Emperors made sure to be present to deter the others from being overly brave. After all, any one of them could become a 7th rank whenever needed. So it wasn't a good idea to act unruly. 

The weather was beautiful and serene. A clear blue sky with a beaming sun. Perfect weather to usher in the selections and trials. And then a deafening sound of thunder came from not far away. Raising the attention of everyone at the Emperor Realm or higher. The Great Emperors looked at each other. 

"It seems that the slot is about to be filled. I wonder what the name will be?" Iron Blood Great Emperor whispered. 

"Hey, whose bright idea was it to breakthrough near the selections!" An Elder from the Blue Sky Paradise yelled, annoyed by the change. 

All of a sudden the space gate was ripe with activity. And numerous Emperors had come along with a few low rank Open Heavens. 

"Palace Manager, Great emperors, something big is happening. The entire Star Boundary has this storm brewing. I've never seen a storm this big before. Even if one were to break through to the low rank open heaven it wouldn't cause something like this. Do you know something? And can you send some help? The people are panicking." A 4th rank Open Heaven reported. 

"What! The whole star boundary? Is the Star Boundary under attack?" Hua Qing Si asked in shock. 

"I'd like to see who dares attack the Star Boundary with all of us Elders here. Even a few 8th ranks wouldn't get away unscathed if we get serious." An Elder from Wind and Cloud Paradise said. "Though I have to say, this doesn't seem like an attack. Rather it seems different in some way. Like the Star Boundary is happy. Those clouds are not filled with fear, nor anger." He elaborated. 

"Then it can only be one of two things. But with the news from those who arrived just now, it can be brought down to only one thing. A new Great Emperor is being born." Yu Xiang Die said, after a little thought. "Do you happen to know…" She continued, getting silenced by a truly powerful roar. 

All across the Star Boundary storms surged. Space and time became chaotic and The Lightning struck as if it was both there and not at the same time. The Image of a Golden Phoenix flew around the Star Boundary at incredible speeds. A Blue-silver Dragon flew around in the opposite direction. Combined they generated an influx of heavenly energy. The Dragon would roar and the Phoenix would cry. Each with their own colored Lightning surrounding them. 

Areas of drought became blessed with rain. And areas of flooding aired out with the intense winds carrying the excess water away with great efficiency. Balance in all things quickly became obvious. And it was as Yu Xiang Die had spoken that the Dragon had flown over the Selections arena. 

"Ahahaha! Seems like whoever this person is. He certainly will not be a pushover. That lightning seems to exist and not at the same time. What do you make of it, Li Wu Yi?" Martial Beast Great Emperor asked. 

"It's… temporal in nature. But I can't figure out what that means. Perhaps, it really is…" Li Wu Yi started saying. "I can sense some spatial fluctuations but there is something else as well…" He added, completely uncertain of what else he could say. The Space fluctuations were already giving him massive benefits. And then he closed his eyes and cultivated on the spot. 

"How about… never mind, Lady Yang Xue is also cultivating… Perhaps that means there are time principles as well. But the two are so closely linked I can hardly tell." Flower Shadow Great Emperor said. 

The Storm finally covered the entire Star Boundary. And Lightning struck everywhere, constantly. Energy built up and gathered towards a certain spot. "It seems like the World Tree is where the energy is gathering. Let's get over there quickly." Ice Feather Great Emperor said. 

~~Star Boundaries World Tree Subtree~~

"What the hell? All of these people are forming Dao Seals left and right like it's nothing. And lowering the energy. This is clearly meant for someone else. GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THE TREE! STOP YOUR THIEVERY OR SUFFER DEATH!" Iron Blood Great Emperor yelled. 

The Emperors fled rather quickly. "I know the situation is odd but was that needed?" Yu Xiang Die asked, showing her dissatisfaction with those comments.
