Disappointed in Him

Elena was taken aback by Mark's calm and collected tone. He was so casual in his approach to the matter as if he was a saint.

No excitement. No anger. No nothing.

It would have been better for her if he was angry with her for keeping a child she made with him or even keeping her existence from him until that moment. Her mind would have been at rest. But not giving any form of reaction to hold onto, made her restless.

"Mia. Her name is Mia," she answered, testing the waters. She wanted to know what his next reaction or question would be.

"Mia." Mark tasted that name on his tongue and felt like it couldn't be all to the supposed little girl he made with her so he asked again, "Short for what?"
