“Mark, if you help me, I promise I will do anything for you in return. Just as long as cheating is not involved.”

“You will do anything I want?” Mark probed, his eyes glittering as he focused on her. He now seemed more interested in her promise than in whatever it was she wanted from him.

“Yes, I give you my word.”

Mark stared into her eyes and seeing how desperate she was, he leaned back into his seat and tapped his fingers on the table. “Careful what you promise, Darling, I’m not a good boy.” 

“I don’t care,” Elena replied with determination in her eyes. “I’m not a good girl either.”

She was packing away some fresh fruits in a box for Mia when the ringing sound went off from her phone. Picking up her phone, her gaze caught the name flashing on her lit screen. The next moment, she turned her gaze towards her right side and called out urgently. "Mum, he is here!"

As soon as she made the announcement, she swiped her thumb finger across the screen to answer the call. "Good morning," she greeted.

"Good morning. How was your night?" Mark's husky voice came into the phone, reaching her ears. She loved how he sounded especially when he was relaxed.
