She Was His

Elena was wowed once again. 'It was good to be rich,' she said in conclusion.

Mark, Elena and Mia spent two more hours out before they left.

Mark followed Elena and their daughter to their floor on arrival. His bodyguards helped to carry everything they bought to the front door before disappearing.

When Elena unlocked the door and stepped inside, she saw Mark standing still standing there and raising a questioning brow. "Are you not coming in?"

He shook his head. "No, but I have something to say to you."

"Okay," Elena mumbled and then looked behind her to see that Mia had already gone far with a light shopping bag she took with her.

Maybe or not, it was too late for her to say goodbye to Mark even though she had already done that in the car when she thought he wasn't going to come up with them.

Mark followed her gaze to Mia's retreating back before looking away with a smile that reached his eyes. His daughter was cute.
