“Mark, if you help me, I promise I will do anything for you in return. Just as long as cheating is not involved.”

“You will do anything I want?” Mark probed, his eyes glittering as he focused on her. He now seemed more interested in her promise than in whatever it was she wanted from him.

“Yes, I give you my word.”

Mark stared into her eyes and seeing how desperate she was, he leaned back into his seat and tapped his fingers on the table. “Careful what you promise, Darling, I’m not a good boy.” 

“I don’t care,” Elena replied with determination in her eyes. “I’m not a good girl either.”

The journalist woman was not the only one who came to Deluxe Stores to look for Elena. There were more outrageous ones that came after.

At a point, when it was discovered that the others who left spread news of Elena's presence at the store, the manager made Elena stay away from the showroom for the rest of the day.

One question remained in Elena's mind as she sat alone in one of the stores where some luxury goods were kept away. How did those people find out where she worked?

Elena thought deeply about the means and could not really pinpoint it. She has never accidentally let that information slip. Mark who had never decided to reveal their connection will be the last to do this.

Also, there was Eric who would never do something like this, at least, without his brother's permission just like that day at the club where he took permission just to bring his friends to their booth.
