“Mark, if you help me, I promise I will do anything for you in return. Just as long as cheating is not involved.”

“You will do anything I want?” Mark probed, his eyes glittering as he focused on her. He now seemed more interested in her promise than in whatever it was she wanted from him.

“Yes, I give you my word.”

Mark stared into her eyes and seeing how desperate she was, he leaned back into his seat and tapped his fingers on the table. “Careful what you promise, Darling, I’m not a good boy.” 

“I don’t care,” Elena replied with determination in her eyes. “I’m not a good girl either.”

When Mark left his mother-in-law's place, he phoned Elena to find out how she was doing with Mia before giving her feedback regarding the talk he had with her mother.

"Thank you, Honey," Elena smiled through the phone. Even Mark could tell how happy she felt through her tone.

"I believe we will get a positive response. Let's just give her some time while researching some businesses that might interest her so that as soon as she gives her response, we will present her with the ideas she could choose from."

Mark was very good with planning ahead and this was a good one based on how important the situation was.

"Alright. I will start working on some ideas," Elena said from the other end. She was too excited to even think about anything. At the same time, she was grateful to her husband for working on her behalf to put a smile on her face.
