Is it hard being a Comic Relief?

In a lavishly decorated bathroom a boy at the age of 18 is looking himself at the mirror. The boy stared long and hard at the mirror. Until he gave up and acknowledged it. He is in a novel and not just any novel. It's in a freaking dark,tragic and gory novel. What's more I am a character who physically can't display emotions. And to answer the previous question....... Yes it is hard being a comic relief.
