Naturally, at first, like all children, Rinka fought against the learning, constantly jumping out of her seat and running off, or not paying attention at all.
So after thinking about it for a moment, he quickly prepared a few wooden dolls, creating voices and pretending they were alive.
With the dolls catching Rinka's attention, Minos began teaching through them, turning each lesson into a story or a game.
Tinka watched this all with wonder, her heart unconsciously pounding as she fell deeper and deeper in love with Minos.
More than anything else, this was the man that had captured her heart. The one who was willing to spend days learning their language and following their customs rather than utilizing force.
The one who was always thinking about her people and how to save them, even when no one was asking for it.
And now, the one who was willing to put on silly voices to teach their daughter, not at all worried about what others may think of him.
While Tinka watched with a smile, the lesson soon came to an end, Rinka laughing joyously, but also waving sadly goodbye to the dolls as Minos pretended they had to leave for the day.
Picking Rinka up, Minos tossed her into the air a few times before holding her up and running around, giving her the feeling she was flying.
After running a couple laps around the area, he finally came up to Tinka, gently placing the still giggling Rinka down beside her.
"I was thinking Tinka, it would be a waste to just teach Rinka alone, so why not gather all the children around her age so I could teach them all at once?" Minos suggested.
"Good idea! Let me ask my dad." Tinka replied.
"Well you do that. I've already put off my work long enough, it's time to get started." Minos said, before picking Rinka up one more time.
"Daddy has work to do, but don't worry, I'll come back to play with you soon, okay?"
"Okay!" Rinka smiled.
"Alright, well before daddy goes, how about a kiss?" Minos asked, causing Rinka to think for a moment before kissing Minos on the cheek.
"One more." Minos asked, before receiving another on his other cheek.
"One more." He asked again, this time getting one on his forehead.
"One more."
"No dada, no more kiss left!" Rinka rebelled, much to Minos and Tinka's amusement.
"Alright, dad won't bother you anymore. You two beauties take care, I'll see you both soon." Minos smiled before giving Tinka a kiss and heading off.
Leaving the two behind, Minos soon found Ronkus who was busy calling out commands to the other tribe members.
"Is everything ready?" Minos asked.
"Just about. I've got a cave set up like you asked, as for the blood samples, they should be ready soon. Inkus, go take Minos to the cave." Ronkus replied.
"Yes Patriarch!"
Following Inkus, the two soon arrived at a large cave that had been refurbished with all sorts of wooden tables and structures.
Looking around for a bit, Minos was content, while it was far from perfect, it was good enough for now.
Walking to a corner, Minos measured the area for a moment before tapping on his spatial ring, the DNA Extraction Pod suddenly appearing in the empty spot.
Afterwards Minos quickly set up the Compo, soon enough having everything set up, just lacking an energy supply.
Inkus looked at the strange device with curious eyes, but the Patriarch had already warned him to not question Minos, so he forcefully swallowed his words back down.
With all the tools, now Minos just needed a power system which he would need to build from scratch.
Given the sunny environment, Minos decided to build a device the Lukalu called a 'Sun Absorber.'
The Sun Absorber was capable of converting light directly into energy, and while it was far from comparable to a Nux Extractor, it was much easier to build.
The material needed for a Nux Extractor weren't things he could get his hands on at his current level, and some of them were things he had never even heard of.
It would likely be a long time before he was capable of building one, but the Sun Absorber wasn't such a distant dream.
Deciding on his plan, Minos headed back out of the cave with Inkus before taking his horse and heading back to Underwood City.
Moving at full speed, Minos soon arrived back at the city, trotting for a little longer before he arrived at his house, entering inside.
"Beetus, stop for a second, I've got some work for you." Minos said to Beetus, who he found preparing a meal in the kitchen.
"What is it Boss?" Beetus asked as he took off his apron.
"I need you to head to the next city over and buy these materials for me." Minos said, before handing a long sheet to Beetus.
"But what about Trin's Abode?"
"Don't worry about it, I'll have Zatiana take your place until you come back. Here, you can store all the materials in this spatial ring, the funds are also in there." Minos said, handing the ring to Beetus.
"Alright Boss, I'll be as fast as possible." Beetus assured
The city Minos sent Beetus to was quite far, having to travel a distance if he wanted to find the stuff he needed.
He had a daughter to take care of, so he didn't want to waste so much time on travel, and besides, wasn't this the whole point of having subordinates?
Beetus cultivation was also pretty advanced, already at the Eighth Layer of Mortal Renewal after all the resources he invested in him.
Inner Heaven Cultivators were ultimately rare, so with his cultivation, he should be able to go most places without much trouble.
He also made sure to remind him to not be too obvious when making his purchases, and to try and buy from multiple places in order to lower suspicions.
Beetus wasn't the same person he was back then, having become much smarter after all the lessons Minos gave him, hence he wasn't actually too worried about him.
After telling Beetus everything, Minos left the house and walked through the city for a while before arriving at a dingy building near the edge of the city.
This was the house he told Rubella to purchase, and just like he expected, the second Rubella came to the owner with an offer, he took it almost immediately.
Just by looking at the location and condition of the place, it was no wonder the original owner was so excited to get it off his hands.
Opening the door, Minos saw Rubella, Zatiana, and a few others hard at work cleaning the place up.
"Master!"
"How's everything going?" Minos asked with a smile.
"It's going well, but the stink of this place is driving me crazy." Rubella complained.
"I'm sure you'll get used to it. By the way, what are you doing here Zatiana, shouldn't you be busy with other work?"
"I've got some freetime, so after hearing about Rubella's problem, I decided why not help out and make the job quicker." Zatiana replied.
"Well it actually is a good thing you're here, I've got something to talk to you about." Minos said, before taking Zatiana into the backroom.
With the two alone, he asked Zatiana if she was willing to replace Beetus temporarily, and without even thinking twice, she accepted.
Happy to see her so motivated to help Trin's Abode, Minos quickly ran down what she needed to do.
Making sure she wouldn't forget, Minos even went so far as to write it all down, the same way he had done with Rubella.
"Everything you need to know is here. If you've got any problems, just use this talisman to send me a signal." Minos said.
"Good, I'll make sure to follow this exactly!" Zatiana assured.
Smiling, Minos didn't doubt Zatiana's capabilities at all, giving her, Rubella, and all the children a goodbye before heading out.
Rather than heading directly to the tribe, Minos first made a pit stop at the Nine Treasure House, buying a few things before finally setting off.
While he couldn't get the things he needed for the Sun Absorber in this city, he could get the resources that were needed for some other devices he had in mind.
The one he wanted to build most was called a 'Crystal Amplifier,' and it was capable of zooming in on things, expanding them thousands of times.
Even his own incredible vision was put to shame when compared, and given the direction of Minos's research, it would help him tremendously.
While he couldn't get work on the blood samples without the DNA Extraction Pod up and running, he could at least look at the blood itself.
He wasn't sure if he would find anything through such a sloppy method, but given he had nothing else to do at the moment, he might as well try.
