Kaylan walked into the hall and found the entire place as busy as noisy as it used to be - especially when it was time for lunch.
Her long messy hair was doing a great job to cover part of her face because she actually didn't want to be seen by the others. She hated company.
She walked slowly, coming across a lot of ladies in groups who were either eating, chit chatting and doing whatever it is they wanted.
"Hey, watch it!" A lady suddenly snapped in front of her, even if Kaylan hadn't bumped into her.
Well, she was already used to it.
Her name was Crystal and she smirked as Kaylan stopped walking and stared at her
"You need to be careful when walking over here, you know?" Crystal stated sarcastically and Kaylan just decided to ignore her and walk ahead.
She's only been there for two days and couldn't even think of blending with them. Although, they were people like her - people without any wolf powers but could carry a wolf's child. Still, Kaylan couldn't think of mingling with them. She didn't want to be there in anyway and badly wanted to open her eyes and find herself home.
Shortly, she got to the food table, dished out the little meal she wanted and went ahead to look for an empty table to sit.
"The hunter's daughter" she could hear them whispering as she walked by but she tried her best not to pay attention to them.
Luckily, she found an empty table and settled down to eat. But it wasn't long before Crystal and her crew showed up, taking the table next to her and that way, they were very close to each other.
Crystal smiled at her and started eating and Kaylan just tried her best to concentrate on her meal as well.
"Did you notice the foods are actually richer today?" One of Crystal friends asked as they are blissfully and Kaylan could hear every one of it.
"Yeah. I thought I was the only one that noticed. Hm. What could their reasons be?" Another asked.
"Hold on; I heard one of the Alpha Kings would be coming to pick a mate tomorrow!"
Crystal gasped immediately.
"Whaat??? Where the hell did you get that?" She almost shrieked.
"I just overheard the managers talking about it, babe. And its going to be no other person but Alpha Zane - the all popular Werewolf King!"
"Goodness! Are you kidding me?" Crystal was almost running nuts.
"Alpha Zane?! He'd be here to pick a bride?? For f**k sake! Why didn't anyone tell me about this? What would I even wear?"
Kaylan who had been listening the whole time, could feel her stomach rumbling. Alpha Zane? She's heard so much about him.
Well, he wasn't Personally the problem - but all the Alphas in general. Since the first day she was abducted and brought into this place, she'd always been so scared of who her buyer would be.
Her mother was one of the greatest enemies of the Wolves and she knew she'd be in danger if any of them were to find her here. They'd definitely want to buy her and use her for their selfish purposes and her life would be doomed.
Good lord!! And of all People, Alpha Zane was the first to come?
