“So, you are a Witch?” Anne turned to face Ashton and blinked her eyes few times before she ask him a question, “So, you are a.. Wizard?”


Melinda gasped and placed a hand on her chest, “My dear Scarlet, you don’t know what Ashton is? And.. no dear, he is not a Wizard”


Melinda’s words make no sense to Anne. In her mind, it is obvious now that Ashton has powers like her mother. It explains how he could protect himself from spells casted by her.


“My mother is not born as a Witch or from some ancient strong lineage of Witches. She went to learn them.. for protection. To protect me when I was little” Ashton explained himself which got a nod from Melinda for approving his story.


“Protect you from what?” Anne asked looking from Melinda to Ashton with questionable eyes.


“From an evil man who wants to hurt my boy” Melinda reached her hand to hold Ashton’s hand and caressed it lovingly before letting it go.
