Chapter 37 Meeting Killian

I had nothing more to say to my mother. The next morning, I woke up early and prepared to leave as soon as possible. I had thought it was better for me to stay with her but after last night’s incident, I knew it was better for us to part ways. We could be too toxic for each other. I did not want to reach a point where I despised or hated my mother so I had to leave when we still loved each other.

Uncle Pierce came in early. It was a good thing because mom and I would have been very uncomfortable on our own. Uncle Pierce offered to drive me to the airport. When he had gone to his car, I apologized to my mother. “I didn’t mean it. I’m very sorry, mum.”

“It’s okay,” that was all she said before walking away from me. Throwing one look at the house, I stepped out and joined Uncle Pierce in the car.

“It’s like saying goodbye to him all over again,” I said, glancing at the house.
