Chapter 29 PARTY IN THE U.S.A.

FLORENCE'S POINT OF VIEW

I lazily toss all my belongings on the floor and immediately went inside my room. My body instantly fell on the soft mattress of my bed. I can feel every fiber and roots of my body aching in exhaustion.

Though I badly want to rest now, I still forced myself to stand up and head inside the bathroom. I wash my face, brush my teeth and after that, I changed my clothes into a more comfortable one.

I sprinted towards my bed and let my body feel the cushion. I'm about to close my eyes when the phone on the bed side table rings. Thinking that it's something important, I picked it up.

"Hello?" I asked groggily, my eyes half closed already.

My forehead creased when no one answers. But I'm certain that someone is in the other line because I can hear another person's heavy breathing.

"Who is this?" I asked once again. But just like the first time, I didn't receive any response. Instead, the strange person ends the call without even saying any words.
