Chapter 8 The Game Plan

Relationship. I never enter any relationship because of one definite reason. The idea gives me goosebumps, not just because I can’t imagine myself falling inlove or being committed to anyone. I made a pledge to only commit to my mate, so Alpha Dominic’s offer makes me want to laugh hard.

“ Back off,” I said before I pushed him away and lean to one of the four-post of my bedroom. He follows my gaze until he walks in the other direction and calmly sits on the bed. How can he be so calm after what he just said? Although my face seems to be stoic, my heart and mind weren’t. my wolf is wilding inside. She’s awake and energizes because of the scenarios.

Alpha Dominic looks serious. “ Do you know who’s your mate, darlin?”

His questions want me to smack his face. I don’t know what kind of curse they put in me but Pup told me that I have this problem, some sort of problem where I can’t feel who’s my mate because of the trauma that I had experienced when I am a child and the wall that I built to myself seems to be so high that my mate can’t recognize me also unless he’s too strong to defy my nature.

Alpha Dominic shook his head in disappointment. “ Tommy is one of the traitors,” he snapped. If there is one thing that I am not shocked with, it is this kind of news. Tommy well wasn’t exactly the person whom I want to be associated with. He seems to be regal outside but there is always something off about him.

“ Then, let’s have him arrested!”

That’s my plan. Arrest the members of the revolution and make them suffer until the only chance that they have is to kill their own self. I wasn’t like this, I wasn’t a fan of violence but every time that someone betrays or tells me lies, I cannot help myself.

My anger is fueling up because of the things that happened before. Betrayals and lies are not the root of all evil, it is the evil itself. A person who betrays it’s own pack is a person who only thinks of himself.

Alpha Dominic seems to be amused but he's quick to cover it with seriousness. “ No.”

“ No? Why?”

And just like that, he didn’t give me any justification for his plan. That is what I have noticed about him, he doesn’t want anyone to question his judgment or his words. He seeks submission.

Instantly, I was pulled into his lap. “ What the heck?” I protested but he only put his hand into my mouth before the silence enveloped my whole room. I can hear it too, the loud voices and murmurs outside of this room. Suddenly, my jaw dropped when I realized who it was.

“ Fuck!” Cursing, I looked everywhere to hide Alpha Dominic. My first glance is to the window but I was just devastated when I saw that some of the warriors are hanging just outside of it. If Alpha Dominic exit through it, they will saw him leaving my room.

Everything paused when a knock on the door was heard. I am too frustrated but the Alpha is just fucking chilling in the bed while my brother and other warriors of my pack are furiously knocking outside of the door.

He didn’t even flinch because of the continuous knocking. “ Get out or hide” I cannot even form my words because of nervousness. I know that he is the King of all Alpha’s but once my brother saw us alone in this room, he will not hear any word of explanation. He knows Alpha Dominic as the leader of the Lennox Clan and my warriors…how will I explain to them if they saw that I am hanging with the man who almost killed them in our last mission?

Alpha Dominic held my shoulder and made me stop from walking around the place. “ Relax darling,” he whispers and before I can even respond, the door opened revealing my furious brother with some of the curious warriors.

“ What are you doing?” he asked and that’s when I noticed that my hand is gripping my hair because of the nervousness that I have felt earlier. My mind was suddenly drawn to something, I turned around and heave a relaxed sigh when I saw that Alpha Dominic cannot be seen anywhere in the room.

Alpha Silas looks bothered. “ Is there any problem, Beatrix?” he snapped before he follows my gaze while I am busy looking around the place.

“ Looking for something?” One of the warriors asked which makes me snapped my curiosity away, if where the heck did Alpha Dominic hides.

I shook my head and composed myself before I surveyed them. Except with Alpha Silas, there is three warriors in front of me and they are the most loyal and strong ones.

The wind blew my hair and I know exactly why. “ Am I late?” The grinning Beta Tommy said before he enters my room which makes me too uncomfortable considering the fact that Alpha Dominic just revealed his association with the revolution.

“ Meeting, tonight at 8 o’clock sharp.” It was Alpha Silas who noticed my discomfort before he urged everyone to leave the room but his glares didn’t let me go until he patted my shoulder and whispers a threat. “ I can smell someone Beatrix, be careful.”

They left. All of them left but what my brother said made me weak to the point that I almost fall to the floor. Of course, he’s an alpha and he can smell the rival of our pack.

He emerged from my walk-in closet. “ Nice clothes,” he teased before swiftly sitting at the top of my study table which is just across of me.

“ What exactly do you need, Dominic?”

“ Alpha Dominic,” he corrected but the amount of anxiety that he made me felt is enough for me to disrespect him even just for once.

He played with his lips and acted as if he was thinking. “ Your skills, strength, and body.”

“ W-What?”

“ You, I needed you to execute my plan.”

He didn’t even filter his words. Use, he wants to use me for his plan. I am also a leader of my pack and I know exactly what he meant by his words.

It made me want to think of any disapproval that I have in my mind but the only thing that is important right now is to stop the revolution.

“ I call a truce for our family tomorrow,” he mentioned before he jump forward and landed on his feet.

“ T-Truce?” curious, I asked.

“ The members of the revolution aren’t as weak as I think they were. Let’s have a truce by the union of our family. This is the only solution that I can think of. Lennox cannot defeat the number of wolves involve in this, but with the help of—”

My breathing stopped. “ Wait.. wait!” I cut his words because my brain is slowly processing the message that he’s trying to convey.

He stopped. “ No!” I protested about his proposition. Shock is an understatement because of the sudden changes in his plan.

“Yes,” he said before I can feel him pulling my left wrist and us falling into the soft mattress with him landing above me.

His weight is pinning me down but I wasn’t prepared when the door slowly opens, revealing the shocked face of my Pup.

“ And the plan begins today,” he smirks at his words before he leans forward and dipped his head into my neck.
