Natalie goes to surprise her mate on his birthday, only to be surprised herself. She finds him cheating on her with her best friend, Tina. What’s more? They ridicule him and says that he may stay in the pack even though they planned to kill him before. However, fearing that they might kill him off, he escapes to the human city. 
He badly misses Natalie and regrets his actions. His wolf never returned and hence he succumbs to depression.

The business was going perfectly well for the past three months. My cafe soon became pretty popular among humans and soon, the eatery was packed all the time. I had to hire a couple of helpers so that the workload wouldn't be too much on my employees. I preferred that my cafe offer quality service and my employees didn't disappoint me.


Three months passed since Shawn and the others left for their pack. We talked on the phone every day, however, I wouldn't say that I didn't miss them. I did, and couldn't wait for a day to see them in person once again.


"Good gracious!" I sighed as I entered my apartment. It had been a long day in the cafe. Since the girl who sat at the counter called in sick, I decided to take her place for the day. That way, I could keep a close eye on their work and help them while I supervised them. Although I was a wolf, I was tired. Perhaps because it had been a long time since I shifted.
