I was glad when I saw the girls. Talking and laughing with them lightened up the atmosphere and soon all of us were having a great time. We went to the restroom so that we could retouch our makeup. It had been a long time since I went out with friends. It brought back the memories of the time I spent with Tina in the pack and our friends in college.
Her memories pinched my heart a bit but I wasn't going to shed my tears for that bitch. Never. She and Trevor had chosen to do what they did and now, I'd rather enjoy life with my new friends.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My hair and makeup weren't bad, but some lip gloss could help. After taking a lip gloss from my handbag I started to apply it to my lips.
"Girl, Mr Perez keeps looking at you with this weird smile on his face," Mara mumbled as she applied eyeliner.
I frowned. "No, he doesn't."
"He does. He keeps stealing glances at you," Tara agreed.
