Natalie POV
After the work was done, Shawn dropped me home and left because he received a call from his employees. I went to my flat and followed my usual routine. I had changed my clothes and started to cook something for dinner as Shawn had told me that he would come to have dinner with me.
I let the chicken thaw while I took a shower. After preparing some potato wedges to eat with the chicken I had put in the oven to grill, I proceeded to make a salad for us. The doorbell rang while I was cutting the vegetables.
"That must be him," I thought out loud.
"Come in, the door isn't locked," I called, loud enough for him to hear me.
I didn't look at the entrance. I knew the door opened and closed. Yet the scent that hit my nose was not the one I expected it to be.
I froze.
My heart raced as I glanced at the entrance. My senses didn't lie to me. Trevor was standing at the doorway, glaring at me as though he was angry about something.
