Natalie goes to surprise her mate on his birthday, only to be surprised herself. She finds him cheating on her with her best friend, Tina. What’s more? Trevor realizes that she has left and rejected him. Angered, he accepts the rejection and proceeds to announce his mistress as his chosen luna. However, his wolf doesn’t cooperate. They ridicule him and says that he may stay in the pack even though they planned to kill him before. However, fearing that they might kill him off, he escapes to the human city. 
He badly misses Natalie and regrets his actions. His wolf never returned and hence he succumbs to depression.

"We lost her…" I heard Boone whimper in my mind. I froze on my steps. We….lost her? Our mate? My forehead creased. I was finding it hard to believe. Shaking my head, I turned around and retraced my steps.


"What are you doing?" Boone demanded, but I ignored him. I strode towards the apartment and halted in front of the closed door. My heart raced as I stared at the closed door. I wanted to barge in. I couldn't have lost her just like that…..


"No! Dude! Don't!" Boone warned urgently.


"What? Why not? You can't back off that easily," I retorted.
