When Natalia came in, she found Jonathan talking with Olivia in the hall. He was still holding the dirty ball in his hands. His shoes were also soiled.


“Jonathan, why are you still here?” Natalia grunted. "Go to your room and cleanse yourself."


Meanwhile, the ringing of the doorbell echoed inside the hall. Natalia went to open the door. She frowned slightly to see Sheriff Chas outside the house.


“Hello, Miss Griffin. Can I come in?” Chas smirked.


“Please…” Natalia stepped aside and motioned for him to come in.


Chas came in, looking around the house. He sat on the couch and said, “I am here to inform you that we found the corpse of Ethan’s four friends in the woods this morning.”


“What?” Natalia exclaimed with disbelief. The frown on her face grew deeper.


“They were all killed last night,” Chas continued to say. “The forensic team says they were killed by a ferocious animal… Maybe a bear.”


He added the last sentence after a moment of pause.
