Chapter 93 Another deadly attack on Vincent

Vincent heard about Elias the next day. He wanted to go back at once so he could ask him about the gray-eyed man. He feared that the enemy would come to kill Elias before he could reach him. However, he couldn’t ignore the work either. He did ask Joseph to complete everything as quickly as possible. Although Joseph said he would try to get it all done today, he wasn't sure.

As the day progressed hour by hour, Vincent realized that it would be difficult to finish the whole thing. But he was not ready to spend another day here.

At lunch, Joseph said, “The engineers are coming in an hour. I don't think I will have the energy to go and see the labor union leader afterward. We have to stay a day longer.”

That’s what Vincent was fearing. He anticipated that Joseph would say that. He shook his head, “Not at all. We are going back first thing in the morning. You attend the meeting with the engineers. I will go see the union leader.”

Joseph squinted at him suspiciously, “Are you sure?”
