Chapter 94 Persuasive Vincent

Vincent slowly opened his eyes. His eyesight was blurry at first. Then it got progressively clear. He saw white walls around him and found himself lying on a sickbed, putting on a blue hospital gown. As he looked around, he saw Joseph lying on the sofa across from the bed.

Vincent tried to get up. He paused and dropped his head back on the pillow as he felt an acute pain on the back of his head. It was as if someone smack his skull from behind. He squeezed his eyes and pressed his brow.

Joseph woke up when he heard him whimper. He jumped off the sofa and hurried to him. He asked a few questions in one breath, “Hey, man. Are you okay? Do you have any discomfort? Do you want something?”

Then he inhaled sharply and exhaled. He turned to the door and yelled, “Doctor, sister. Is anybody out there? Doctor…”

His shouting added to Vincent’s headache. He groaned and muttered, “Don’t shout.”

Joseph turned to him and said, “Alright. I will go call the doctor. Don’t move, okay?”
