Chapter 6

I don't want to disturb them.

When Sandra came, I left quickly so they could talk. I even felt Louis pull my hand away but I ignored him. Even though I didn't have much money, I took a taxi-- better got home. It's just so annoying, Sandra saw that we were still talking and then she suddenly intervened, I just rolled my eyes and focused my attention on the window. When I arrived, I paid the driver, I marched until I could get inside.

I quickly got inside, I caught up with Leyla, her hair was still wet and she was getting ready-- is she going somewhere again? I was so annoyed that I ignored her. I sat across from her and just stared at the television. That woman gave me a bad day. But I can't be singled out but her, she's really beautiful. Earlier when she arrived, I immediately smelled her victoria's secret scent. She also has a beautiful body, I saw the shape of her body before, her nose is also sharp and her eyes are well shaped. I sighed, I know Leyla heard that.

"What's with that sighed?"

I shut my mouth and lowered my eyes.

I fell silent again. I looked at her, she still looked at me as if she wanted an answer from me.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"What is that reaction?" She protested.

I rolled my eyes again. Jesus, why am I so pissed off?

"He is talking right now with Sandra," Leyla raised her eyebrows.

"And he let you go home alone?"

I moved my lips and nodded.

There is really no problem if the two of them talk. The only annoyance is that, they focus too much on each other. Louis stopped me from leaving but his attention was on Sandra. I am so irritated to them. And I kinda... hate Sandra, the pain in the eyes of seeing them talking with each other. I had the same problem with Louis when I was in high school, he liked to talk to other women even when I was there. He's a playboy back then, that's what caused the two of us to break up. But that bastard, he still doesn't seem to really change

"You are jealous, right?"

I creased my forehead to her.

"Jealous?" I chuckled. "No, why. Why would I?"

She smirked at me.

"Don't deny it. It is obvious on your face that you are jealous. Why do you seem to know my brother that well, why do you react like that?"

I took a deep breath before speaking.

"He became my boyfriend when I was only seventeen, that stupid is really a playboy years ago. He's talking and laughing with each women he met, even if I am with him. I caught that bastard cheating on me, once. And since I was young then, I let him do the antics he was doing."

She laughed at what I said. I glanced at her all of a sudden. She looks better when she laughs, her teeth are beautiful, white and she has these two fangs. Her eyes also narrowed with a sudden laugh. She looks stunning.

"Really? Why did you let him cheat. If I were you, I would have humiliated that man. Aren't you angry at that time?"

I pouted and scratched my nape.

"I am! I am mad at him. I just restrained myself, I didn't want us to be separated then. I tolerated his deceptions even when he does it to me face to face. But when I turned eighteen, that's when I decided to talk to him and I decided to end our relationship. That fool, agreed right away as if I was just nothing for him. He immediately agreed to break up with me, he didn't even stopped me from that."

"And then? What happened? How is your life going again?"

I swallowed.

"I dropped out of college. I still have two years left but I haven't finished that yet. That's when I decided to start my own flower shop, I saved up first to do what I wanted. Until some men came to my shop, they said I had been chosen to be Louis' wife. Of course, I did not consent. It's just that, when I didn't agree, my flower shop caught fire, I'm sure he was the one who did it. He offered me a large amount of money to be his wife, I was angry with him and I still didn't accept that--"

"Weird, why does he tried to offer a large amount of penny to you-- I mean, he can get some women without paying them. But why."

I shrugged.

"I don't know to your brother. He offered me that he would return the shop, once I married him. I agreed, I don’t care about money. What matters is my shop--"

"Did you two have a child?"

I transfixed.

"Huh?"

"Did you have a child with my brother?"

I immediately shook. That's such a ridiculous question.

"N-no! Of course not! Why would I have a child with him?"

"Then, who is Jaxon Ludwig?"

I blinked.

"Why did you know him?"

She smirked at me.

"I did a background check about you. Your parents own a two dental clinic and one restaurant. You had a good life with them, but you decided to separate with them. And I found out that there's this little boy who's living with your parents right now. His name is Jaxon Ludwig, am I right?"

I lost the reaction on my face, I frowned at her question. How did she found that out so fast? This girl is really something... she is the girl you would not expect.

"He's my little brother."

She didn't say a word and just stared at me. My brother, Jaxon Ludwig, he is too young compared to me. He is six years old and he was left in the arms of my parents. I tried several times, for him to come with me, but I changed my mind. I don’t want to bring Jaxon here for the reason that he is too young to see this hectic and terrible world. I let him to stay with my parents first, when he is ready, I will take him here.

No one spoke to us when we heard someone's footsteps. I looked around, surprised, when Louis entered. His face was dark and his fist was closed, his jaw  was moving as those eyes were spectating straight at me. I was suddenly nervous, I quickly stood up. I ran up the stairs, I was just about to hold the door knob to enter the room when he suddenly pulled my hand, at the same time, he pushed me so my back hit the wall.

"Ah! Louis, you are hurting me!"

He didn't speak and I could hear his deep breathing, I couldn't leave my state. His hand was gripping my shoulder. He was pinning me against the wall, he was too strong for me so I had nothing against him. I can't even look into his glaring eyes, he looks angry-- wait, why is he angry? Shouldn't I be the one angry with him?

"I told you to stay there but you left anyway."

I just kept my mouth shut as I watched him get indignant, even though the hallway was dark, I could still see what reaction he had. I have nothing to answer, what should I say? Shall I say that I left so that they could talk properly? This is unbelievable. Very unbelievable, he is really getting into my nerves.

"Let go of me! Louis!"

He shook his head.

"No, Jassie. Not until you tell me the reason why you left--"

"Because I don't want to disturb you, okay?!"

He didn't say a word and just stared at me, while I am here, having a hard time to breath. I nibbled my lower lip, I barely averted my eyes and tried to calm myself.

"Why? Are you expecting something for that reason? Don't you remember, how many times have you cheated on me, so what you did now is nothing for me."

I swallowed.

Who am I for him? And who is he for me? We're just going to get married on paper, let's just say we're not going to be a real couple. I struggled to get his hand away from me but he only pressed me harder against the wall. Damn it! I should have do exercise with Suki.

"Jassie--"

"You know what, if you will only get mad at me just because of that. Let's not pursue the deal."

I'm running out of patience with him. He still hasn't really changed, and what's worse is, it looks like he's still a playboy-- he is not contented with only one girl. I'm annoyed with him, I hate him, I broke up with him years ago since I totally thought we would never meet again. But I made a mistake, our paths met again and in this situation. This man is getting into my nerves, really.

I accidentally entered his deadly turf... again.

"Never turn down the deal."

I frowned at him.

"A-and? Why not?"

"Like what I said. I am turning on the deal and I'll enter your property now. Even if you don't want to continue what we talked about, you won't be able to leave, Jassie, never."

"What are you saying? D-don't scare me like that. And I will do what I want, I am turning off the deal right now, Mr. Sullivan."

"No, Jessamine."

"What?!"

"You want that shop so bad, do you? This will only be the way to get back what you lost. What will your parents say when they find out what happened? What will they say when they find out what they gave and what you worked for suddenly burned down? What will you do, huh, Jassie?"

"Mr. Sullivan! A-are you... are you blackmailing me?"

Playfully raised the edge of his lips as if we were just talking about a joke. This bastard! He's playing with me again!

"No, I'm not. I am just rejecting you, Jassie. Come on, let's not torture ourselves anymore. To make your shop return faster, why don't we sign the paper tomorrow? Is that okay with you?"

Why does he seem to be in a hurry to get married with me? I thought for a moment. When my shop is returned, I will make sure I can save money for myself first. I will just play with the fire, I will just accompany him with his antics. And when we get closer to each other again, I will be there to suggest a divorce, that's what Suki told me. Right, one year or five months after we signed the paper, I will file a divorce with him.

This is a game of flame.

"Okay, fine! Deal, Mr. Sullivan. Let's sign a contract tomorrow. Just make sure you can give me the shop. And make sure no one else knows about it, I don’t want to be talked about, and I don’t want the spotlight on me. You know that, Louis."

"Of course, I know that," he snickered at me. "I know you very well, baby."
