Chapter 9 CH 9: A Step Closer

Few days has passed with Amanda finally able to go home. Emilio has been visiting her every day after she woke up. He was persistent in wanting her to be his. It was heart-warming for Amanda.

Seeing his kind gesture towards her, Amanda sighed. She knew falling in love is not a possibility for an Agent like her. It was all fake. The name Amanda Lockhart too.. is fake.

She also knew that it is no longer safe to be in Hill View Town. Amanda could sense that the Alpha of Hill View Wolf Pack will soon find her.

It was a mistake to stage her accident at the bridge. A wrong move made by the Agency. But, who could she blame rather than herself.

The truth about The Reaper hurting the Wolves of Hill View pack is kept secret to others, except to Amelia Lockhart. Fortunately, her helmet went offline. Therefore, the incident of her shooting four Wolves is not made known to the Agency. Not yet.

"Penny for your thought, beautiful" Emilio stood close to her while tucking her hair behind her ears. "You know you can trust me"

Amanda smiled shyly. Emilio is dashing looking, no doubt he makes her horny to his touch. A kind of man she does not mind dating if her life is that simple. Their age gap of close to twenty years does not bother her at all. She is starting to like his attention given to her. But, knowing the real Emlio behind that handsome face, it disgust Amanda. Emilio is a bully and abuse women to fulfil his needs. He is a monster in disguise.

"I'm just thinking of the amount of study I have to catch up during my absence from class. How are we.." she faked a smile and lick her lips slowly, "going to spend time together? You know.. intimate time.. alone"

Feeling her flirtatious move is working, Amanda bat her eyelashes giving him a sweet smile. He chuckled and moved closer to kiss her lips gently.

"We'll find time. Or.. You can always move in with me.. and study" he whispered in between their kisses making Amanda giggled. “I’ll teach you some lessons.. on the bed”

While she faked a soft moan from his gentle kisses, in her mind, all she could think of are ways to get to his secret safe box kept in his office. She needs to get to his client list and move on to her next job.. far away from Hill View Town.

"We need to stop.." she pulled his shirt gentle while breathing hard on his lips, "I don't think, I can hold it anymore"

Hearing her breathless words is making him falling hard for her. Emilio could not stop thinking about Amanda. He wants to f*ck her so much that his brain is not able to think straight for the past few days. Deep in his heart, he felt more than just an obsession for Amanda. He in falling in love.. not just with her beauty.

Pulling her waist closer to his, Emilio deepened his kiss and groaning with desire. He wanted more and Amanda played along with this game of seduction.

"Do you mind? This is a Hospital" the voice of Sasha Turner made them stop kissing and moved a little further away.

"Hello, Sasha" Amanda said nervously while taking few glances at Emilio who is looking a little upset that Sasha walked in.

"We are busy, Sasha. What do you want?" Emilio asked in an annoyed tone while still staring into Amanda's hypnotising blue eyes. His back is still facing Sasha while he held Amanda's waist not wanting to let go.

"I work for Amelia and she wants her niece home now. I'm here to accompany her back" Sasha said while walking towards a table where Amanda's things were already neatly packed.

"I can send her back home, Sasha" Emilio said and finally turned to face Sasha. His former lover who he got bored with few years ago.

Sasha is no doubt an attractive woman but she is too domineering that made Emilio had enough of her. He wanted some space from her and ended their two years relationship, badly.

"No. She is coming with me. You may call Amelia if you want to" Sasha smiled at Amanda and gestured for her to follow her out. She pretended their new relationship meant nothing to her.

Kissing Emilio's cheek gently, Amanda whispered, "Call me. We'll think of something"

She took few steps back and smiled at Emilio. He calmed down seeing her giving some hope that she feels the same way too as his feelings for her, "I'll pick you up for dinner tomorrow"

He winked at her and turned to walk out the hospital room not even looking at Sasha.

It made Sasha sighed deeply. She was in love with Emilio but it was all over now. "You must be careful with him, Amanda"

Amanda shook her head in annoyance, "You need to move on, Sasha. He is with me now"

Part of her little plan to make her relationship with Emilio publicly known and then it could may be easier for her to enter his office room.

"Oh, I have moved on from him, trust me. It was difficult but I did. I'm warning you.. as a friend. He is dangerous. He will hurt you" Sasha wanted to say more things but Amanda shut her up. She just wants to end her mission here in Hill View Town.. without revealing her true identity as an Agent. She will not break up with Emilio until she gets the client list, even if it requires giving her body to him.

"I'm not your friend. You work for my aunt as her assistant. We don't have to be friends. So, stay out from my life. I will date whoever I want, whenever I want. Let's go now. You are wasting my time" Amanda walked pass Sasha without caring how harsh her words are. Making friends is not a good idea, if one day Amanda is leaving the town.

They walked to the counter where Sasha wanted to settle the hospital bills but it seems Emilio had paid them before they did. "Your relationship with Emilio seems more than just casual date. Again, be careful"

Amanda ignored Sasha and walked ahead of her after spotting their driver and the luxury car waiting to take her home. Before she entered the car, Sasha walked closer and handed Amanda an invitation card.

"The Lockhart received an invitation from.." Sasha took a deep breath before mentioning the name of the man who once she had a relationship with. She dumped this man for Emilio.

A decision Sasha regretted most. She did love him but was lusting to be with Emilio. Being a half breed Werewolf with a weak Wolf in her, Sasha knew she could never be with that man for long, "Alaric Ryan Knight. Alpha of Hill View Town"

Turning to look at Sasha, Amanda tried hard not to panic. Why wouldn't she? The Alpha she tried to kill is a step closer to finding about her.

"You look pale. Anything wrong?" Sasha moved closer and whispered, "Are you afraid of Werewolves?"

Amanda looked around where she stands. In this situation, she knew someone is watching over her. The Alpha is watching her. She could sense it. So, she had to fake her fear.

"I am terrified of them. I heard stories on how.. notorious the Alpha is" Amanda lied and faked a fearful look. She even hugged her body with her arms and trembled a little. It made the kind looking Sasha fell in her trap.

"Look, I'll help you. I’ll find a way to avoid this invitation, for you. It seems so odd that the Alpha hosting a dinner invitation to the rich and influential families in this town in such short notice. Something is up. I heard he also wants to make a deal with Amelia on a development works in Morevar. He is looking to purchase a property owned by the Lockhart family. A friend of mine told me so" Sasha explained as much as she can, based on her discussion with Amelia this morning.

"You seems to know a lot" Amanda said before entering their car. Sasha followed after her to sit next to her. They sat behind, with the driver and a bodyguard seated infront. The driver pressed a button to lift the barrier up for privacy chat between Amanda and Sasha.

To break the silence in the car, Sasha decided to start an interesting conversation with Amanda, "I was in a relationship with the Alpha. But, I knew I could never have him loving me. His mind and heart seems to belong to another woman. He could not love anyone else. Only one woman. People say.. he lost his Luna. He is still searching for her, whoever she is"

Amanda pretended she was not interested but the truth was.. in that silence, her heart starts to beat faster, which she does not understand why.
