Chapter 11 CH 11: Date Night

Once they arrived at the Lockhart's Mansion, Sasha excused herself as she needed to go back to her office in dealing some matters for the Lockhart's business deals. She serves not only Amelia but also Andrew Lockhart who is Amelia's so called cousin.

Sasha noticed that Andrew spent most of his time in office whereas Amelia prefers to work from home. While waiting to hire a new assistant for himself, Amelia agreed to share Sasha's assistance with Andrew for few weeks until Andrew finds a suitable replacement for his retired former assistant.

He too received an invitation to attend dinner at Knight Estate. Something he thought quite odd receiving from Alaric. They were friends back in university but went separate ways when Andrew left to manage business at Emerald City. It was where Amelia's real husband is living at. Her husband too is an Agent with a high rank.

Andrew knew who Amelia and Amanda truly are. Two top ranked assassins working for the government. An arrangement was made between his father and the government’s secret Agents to recognise both Amelia and Amanda as part of Lockhart's family tree. It was all obviously a lie. A lie they have to make it real.

At first he was afraid to be part of this big secret arrangement. But after two years living this lie, he was not afraid anymore. In fact, he starts to like both Amelia and Amanda much. They are more like a family to him than his own real family members.

In this lie, Amelia is said to be the widow of Lionel Lockhart who died few years ago. She inherited Lionel's wealth giving her the right to stay at Lockhart's Mansion owned once by Lionel.

They have a child by the name Adam Lockhart. A five year old boy who looks more like Amanda than Amelia. A handsome boy with hypnotic grey eyes. As for Amanda, a lie is created saying she is Amelia’s niece from her dead sister.

It was not easy to make believe that child is Lionel's child but no one dared to question the Lockhart about the boy. The people in the town even made rumours saying Amelia had an affair with another man and conceived Adam from that affair.

It was something Amelia does not care about. She has a job to complete. Once they complete it, both Amelia and Amanda will disappear from everyone with a fake death being planned out. An exit strategy to clear their past and move on to a new fake identity.

Everything is in place awaiting Amanda's plan to work out in getting Emilio's client list. The Agency seems to be pushing them hard to get the job done as quickly as possible as Dante has expanded his illegal business to the Vampires. He created a potion that allows the Vampires to be resistance to sunlight.

At the moment this ability for Vampires are restricted to certain influential Vampire families with the help of Witch magic. It is a controllable risk. If Dante's formula works on Vampires, all of this dangerous species will roam freely on the streets both day and night. It would be chaotic.

It has to stop or the Supernatural beings would be invincible. For now, the Humans are still the superior beings with weapons that could eliminate Supernaturals, with the help of a loyal group of Witches. It had to stay that way for fear of war would happen and eliminate the Human race.

Dante seems to be wanting this war to happen with no one understanding why. The Agents around the world has already initiated procedures to be ready of this coming war to happen.

It is now up to Amelia and Amanda to help stop this war from happening.

"I'm not going to that dinner tonight" Amanda told Amelia as she entered her home office. She walked towards the white lounge chair and removed her heels.

"And why is that? It would make you.. look suspicious to Alaric Knight. You do know, he is watching over you? Your stupid mistake is catching up" Amelia said in a serious tone while typing on her laptop. She was seated on her executive chair placed behind a large desk with several files on it.

"The Werewolves were chasing after me. What choice do I have? I have no idea why or what they want from me" Amanda sighed and sat back on the comfortable chair. She read a new message sent by Emilio asking about whether she is free tonight. She smiled.

"You should just run away without shooting them. It is quite unbelievable that the Werewolves can catch up on you on a superbike. Is there something you did not tell me?" Amelia stop typing and stared at Amanda for answers.

After responding to Emilio’s flirty message, Amanda turned to look at Amelia, "I was interrogating Tommy before I shot him. He mentioned the name Big Man. The guy who is the middle man to communicate with Dante. Find Big Man, find Dante. I guess the Werewolves here in this town is faster than others out there. Really fast" Amanda sighed and shrugged her shoulders.

"No more mistakes like this, Amanda. You know that the Agency would not hesitate to shoot you down if you break the code" Amelia said in a warning tone.

She cares for Amanda like her own daughter. But, Amanda can be stubborn sometimes. Amanda is her late bestfriend's daughter. Amelia promised her bestfriend, Arabella Brown, that she will look after her child if anything happened to her. As Arabella went missing for many years, Amelia did not know her bestfriend died.

It was fortunate that Amelia went to visit Blue Mountain's village six years ago. It was her hometown. Little that she knew that Lucy Brown moved back to Blue Mountain.. with Amanda. She felt like it was a divine intervention to be there that night, at the exact time and place.

It was the night she found young Amanda being half naked and crying behind the bushes in a park. She was raped.

Bringing her back to her grandmother, Lucy’s home was even more devastating. It was also the night Amanda's grandmother passed away due to heart attack. She died on her bed.. alone. The incident broke Amanda.

Amelia stayed with her to settle the funeral but found out more things happened to Amanda's family. Her uncle had sold her off to the highest bidder to pay for his debts. They had to run away from the people that her uncle owes money to.

"I know, Amy. I know the risk. I will never drag you down with me. I owe you and your family too much. Without you, I would have been dead six years ago. I could never pay you back. But, I will risk my life for you. I will make this right. We will get out of this town and go back to Emerald country where your family is waiting for you. I'm done living here" Amanda sighed and read another new message that came in from Emilio.

She smiled wide and stood up immediately.

“You do know.. Emilio and you.. not happening” Amelia said in a stern voice. She knew Amanda likes to play with men. Seducing them.. then leave them when they desperately want her. She likes the attention. “Be careful, Amanda”

"BINGO! Tonight is the night that I will end this misery" Amanda smiled and walked towards Amelia. She totally ignored what Amelia said to her.

"And how is that?" Amelia asked raising her head to look at Amanda.

"He is planning not to go to the Knight Estate tonight. But.. he wants to meet me. I have a plan. It is going to work. Trust me" Amanda said while turning around dancing.

"The doctors must have put in some strong medication in your head that made you this crazy" Amelia rolled her eyes.

"I'm actually going to miss this place. But, if Alpha Alaric is coming to my life this soon, we need to run. Disappear. I'm not staying here any longer. Oh, one more thing. He seems to recognise the diamond ring that the b*stard rapist left on my finger. How is that possible?" Amanda sat at the chair facing Amelia. She had her long silky legs folded on the chair.

"Is he the man who raped you?" Her words were said with concerns.

"Hell, NO! That b*stard rapist was skinny and definitely not as handsome as Alpha Alaric. Well, I did not see much of his face that night but I remember his hypnotising eyes. It is like Adam's eyes. I hope Adam will never meet his real father. I'll find someone that will love him like a son but not that rapist. No, not him" Amanda scoffed and she felt angry all of a sudden.

“What if.. it is really him?” Amelia asked again and saw Amanda’s eyes staring at a blank space. She sighed.

"Give me the ring. I have a plan" Amelia smiled mischievously. It got Amanda’s attention back to her.

"Oh, I know that look. You have something naughty in your mind" Amanda asked with interest. She removed the diamond ring from her finger and handed it over to Amelia.

“Be careful with that diamond ring. I plan to sell it off for Adam’s education fees and for his other future plans. That ring worth a lot. Real diamonds, I was told” Amanda chuckled.

"We just have to get someone else to wear this. It will divert Alpha Alaric's attention elsewhere for few days while he chase for the wrong person. He is looking for The Reaper. The ring is his clue. Let him chase the ring. A pointless chase for him, while you get away. Get it?" Amelia said full of confidence. "You better hurry up with your plan with Emilio. I can only distract the Alpha for few days"

"Amy, if you are a man, I would have already jump on your lap and f*ck you on the chair. You are a genius! I know exactly who to play this role. She would love this game we are playing on Alpha Alaric" Amanda said and clapped her hands together.

There was a knock on the door causing them to pause their conversation. It was their butler who handed Amanda a bag of designer’s item. He smiled at Amanda and bowed before he left.

After the butler left, Amanda looked into the bag and turned to look at Amelia. "I have to go. Emilio wants to take me out for a date tonight. I'm going to surprise him"

While looking deeper inside the shopping bag, Amanda gasped, "Oh Emilio, you naughty old man"

She showed Amelia the lacey sexy lingerie that Emilio wants her to wear with the red dress he bought for her as well.

"I guess tonight, I'll get busy. I’ll go get a babysitter for Adam" Amanda winked at Amelia before she left the room.. smiling.
