Chapter 36

“I need to sign here? What about my husband?” I was constantly asking the lawyer about the divorce papers. I was pretty new to this – so, naturally, I needed to ask about everything.

However, the lawyer named ‘Mr. Unicoi’ wasn’t too interested it seems as he was constantly looking at the computer screen in front of him.

He was a typical overrated lawyer that luckily opened a firm in New York just because of his daddy’s money – he must’ve lived off of it somehow. The firm was flashy, to say the least, and his employees looked like they were dead.

He had a huge balding spot on his head and wore glasses – which, by the way, gave away the chance for him to put up the busy working man facade.

It was clear – through his glasses, he was playing a type of online card game. He absolutely sucked and he was always losing.

I paid a couple of grand for this consultation – I can’t let this go to waste this way.
