Chapter 9 Devil with a Beautiful Face

"Remember! I always keep an eye on you at school and wherever you are. I'd love it if you did just one little thing that would get you kicked out of school. Hahaha," threatened Maria.

I looked at Maria closely, trying to be patient with the behavior of my cousin, who has a hobby of dealing with people's problems. "You will gain nothing by following me. Even I won't make trouble with the little flies, though." I quickened my pace past a beautiful girl with long, black hair. I don't know since when it happened. It's just that my relationship with Maria never got along. Our extended family constantly compares Maria and me. Maria's parents are office workers with a steady monthly income, while my mother works part-time in a restaurant. If we met a big family, they would all compare me to Maria.

"Maria is beautiful. She was a sweet and obedient child, unlike her cousin from that village."

"That is Paris. She couldn't even compare to Maria at all. Paris has a strange hobby. Nobody likes Paris, she will always be expelled from school for her hobby of fighting."

"Her mother was also too poor, so her mother was only busy looking for food, and we know Paris did not receive proper upbringing even from her mother."

"Paris is so stupid, and I hope my children will not be shameful child-like Paris."

I sighed; I don't know why. Every time I see Maria's face, I will constantly be reminded of the insults from my extended family. My mother would always look down with a red face while my whole body would tremble. I wanted so badly to tell my mom that it wasn't my fault. I didn't want to get myself into a fight at all, but they asked me to.

However, this time I've promised myself I won't want to defame my family again, and I don't want to get involved in a fight.

When I opened Maria's car, Maria's haughty voice was heard again. We have stopped in front of the school. Even from today, I will go to school with Maria. "You must have known my joy was watching your ruin," she whispered, "so play around at school, and I won't hesitate to make you and your mother the butt of jokes in our dear family again."

My chest hurts when her annoying mouth says the word about "my mother".

Damn, I growled in my heart.

"What's your problem with me? I was never the least bit jealous of your success. Let you always get the praise. I will continue to live my normal life." I got out of the car and closed the door. I was slightly annoyed by the intimidation. She always thought I was a troublemaker, even though I had no intention of causing trouble wherever I was.

Everyone seems to have misunderstood me.

"Hey, clumsy girl! It is seen clearly that you envy my success!" Maria shouted, she closed the car, and chased after me.

Why is this girl screaming in public? I quickened my footsteps, but unfortunately, up ahead, I saw a young man with a gloomy, handsome face who had just come out of the teacher's room. My mouth is open; why do I have to meet him now. He's a naughty boy who catches me jumping from a high bathroom window.

I immediately lowered my face, and I let my hair fall to cover my left side of the face. I would do anything to keep the boy from seeing me. However, unfortunately, Maria's voice was loud when she said, "Jason!" made the young man look at the two of us.

Before Maria ran to Jason, she grabbed my hand and whispered, "It's Jason. He is a rich young man who is famous in our city. He is the most influential in this school. His brain is brilliant both in studies and in sports. Don't you ever do trouble that makes my good name bad in front of Jason!" While saying this, I saw the fire burning in Maria's eyes. She looks serious. The grip on her hand grew stronger until the nerves in her white knuckles could be seen clearly.

I quickly withdrew my hand easily. I turned my head the other way then looked at her. "If you're embarrassed, don't ever tell people that I'm your cousin."

"Telling people that you are my cousin?" Maria laughed condescendingly. "Don't expect to think about it. You better go home and dream." Then she tossed her long hair so that it slapped me in the face, and with swift footsteps, she passed from in front of me and rushed over to Jason.

I growled in annoyance.

"What's wrong with you? Why is your face gloomy like this?" I could hear what Maria was talking about with Jason from where I was. Maria's voice was warm and full of sympathy. The look in her eyes also seemed to worry about Jason. If I didn't know who Maria was, I would think she was a good angel lost on earth.

"My brother is in the hospital," Jason replied; he walked towards the classroom with Maria at the side.

Last night, I just found out from my mother that Maria was in a different class from me. She entered class A, where all the students had average grades above eight and nine. While I was in class C, this is also what made Maria make fun of me.

"Don't let them know that trash like you is my cousin," Maria warned me while we were still in the car. I didn't even glance at her as we sat in the car. I just looked at the street outside the window, and I thought the scenery outside was more interesting.

"Samuel! Why did Samuel go to the hospital!" Maria's voice is the same as the artists acting in movies when they hear their partner being admitted to the hospital.

"Someone attacked Samuel," Jason replied.

My face looked up at the two people, if before I lowered my face languidly, now I look at the two people, my eyes widen slightly hearing the name "Samuel".

Why are there so many young men named Samuel lately, I thought. I watched Jason from afar, and he had a tall and sturdy build with a high jaw that made his facial lines look firm. His eyes were blue, the same color as the young man named Samuel that I met yesterday. Jason's hair was tan. He had a face that looked serious and a little boring, although it is evident that he was very handsome, the proof was that he could make Maria fall in love with him. However, suppose Jason is Samuel's younger brother, whom I met yesterday, that would be impossible. Even I could easily confirm that the Samuel that Maria and Jason were talking about now was a completely different person.

They can't be blood-related because Samuel, whom I met yesterday, has a pleasant face and personality. He also seemed to enjoy joking around, so it was inevitable that Jason's brother wasn't the Samuel I met yesterday.

"I want to see your brother after school. Has your brother been allowed to go home today?" This question came out of Maria's mouth, and I don't know why someone can change so quickly, whereas a few minutes ago, Maria looked like a devil with a beautiful face, but now Maria looks like an angel without wings.

I'll find an excuse to be home alone after school, I thought.

The two of them had entered the class A room, and I walked towards my room. When I was about to enter my class, which was only separated by class B, someone suddenly pulled my hand. His voice could almost break the glass of the classroom window so loudly.

"Boss! We miss you!"

I'm going to suffocate because of these troublemakers who still live freely around me.

"What do you want! I've said many times that I'm not your Boss!" My face stiffens. I was uncomfortable, and I glanced at my hand still held by Timothy. "Timothy, let go of my hand! I want to go to class!"

It looks like I've said something wrong because instead of letting go, Timothy tightened his grip on my hand, and his eyes filled with tears as he said, "Boss, you know my name. Boss, you are indeed the right person!" I just gaped at Timothy saying such nonsense.

"Let go of my hand, Timothy," I begged the fat boy. My face turned cold, and he could feel my sharp glance.

"O-okay, Boss," he said; he let go of my hand obediently.

I sighed. "No Boss, no subordinates. I'm going to class."

However, my footsteps stopped when Timothy stupidly said, "Guys! Our Boss, this time, is someone who doesn't want discrimination. She sees us as equals." I don't know who Timothy was yelling at, but when I stepped into the classroom, my eyes were wide open to find that the school was full of boys who had chased me yesterday.

I am trapped.

"Why are you all here?" I asked, frowning. Then a boy immediately pulled me into a chair, took my bag, and directly massaged my shoulders. "Is this enough? Or should I add more power, Boss?"

"Hey, that's ticklish! It's enough! Let me go!" I shouted I'm a girl, wear a bra, and don't want this young man to feel the bra straps on my shoulders. When I looked at his face, I could see the closed his eyes with a perverted smile. His tongue licked along his lips. "Stop it! Stop! I say stop!" My voice was so loud it made the young man open his eyes. When the young man opened his eyes in fear, I immediately stood up and snapped at him, "What were you thinking just now!"
