"Paris, you'd a better sleep here," said Samuel. I overheard the whole conversation, and every word that came out of Samuel's and Paris' lips was driving me crazy.
"No, Sam. I'd better stay there," Paris said, then she walked closer to me. “Jason, do you want to sleep there? This place is warmer, you're hurting, you better be over there, and I'm here."
I don't know who the girl in front of me is, is she Paris as I know her beforehand? I thought she was no longer the Paris I knew.
My heart seemed to be torn apart by Paris' voice. Those words were meant for me, but her heart wasn't for me. She loves Samuel and not me.
I shook my head. "No need, just you." Then I changed places.
I heard Samuel then say, “Go to sleep now. You must be tired because you've had a lot going on today."
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Paris sigh, and then she fell asleep beside Samuel.
"Put this on," repeated Samuel. He put a blanket over Paris's body.
