Chapter 5 He is evil

"Did he get into trouble with you before you left earlier?" asked Fajar throwing a condescending look at Andy, who had just arrived.

Tony laughed. "I already apologized to him, but he's still playing the April fool's game with me."

"Next time, don't throw water on his head. His nerves are messed up," the two whispered, but Andy could still hear them. He had just arrived and was sitting next to his two friends.

All participants are getting ready to wait for their turn to be called.

Andy never forgets the questions asked by his examiners. "In March, annual inflation was recorded at 2.48 percent. How to deal with the trend of meager inflation?"

Andy's memory fell on seventeen years ago when his body shook violently. The teaching assistant, Andy's best friend, called him the night before Andy's presentation. That's why to make Andy couldn't answer that question at all.

"Why can't you even answer a question like this!" snapped one of the examiners.

Andy clenched his fist, and he had been lied to by Jerome, the teaching assistant. Jerome had come up to him the day before and said, "You know that I work to pay for my tuition, right?" No one on campus didn't know that Jerome was indeed a hard worker. He became a teaching assistant and did other odd jobs to pay for his younger siblings' tuition and fees.

Seeing the tiredness on Jerome's face, which stated that he had fallen ill and couldn't work at his workplace that night, Andy felt sorry for Jerome. "Alright, I'll replace you at work tonight."

"In exchange you no need study, I will tell you what the examiners will ask," said Jerome with a warm smile.

"Is that true?" Andy thought that there was nothing wrong with helping a friend in need.

That night, Andy finds out that one of Jerome's jobs is to be an Office Boy at a nightclub in their town.

"Drink this, new kid!" ordered his senior who had just cleaned up the vomit from the guests in the closet. Most guests come to the bathroom unconscious, so they don't properly clean up the rest of their urination, defecation, or vomit.

Andy understood his senior who had worked hard that night in the same bathroom as him.

"Thank you," said Andy that night without Andy realizing he had been drinking alcoholic beverages beyond his tolerance limit. Naturally, in the morning, he got water spray all over his body because he had not yet woken up, even though he was going to give a presentation that day.

"Don't worry, I told you the wrong thing," said Jerome into his cell phone.

Andy, who had left the examiner's room, widened his eyes. He was surprised and wondered, who Jerome was talking to, and who they were talking about.

However, Andy immediately got his answer after Jerome mentioned his name. "He's such an idiot, he took my offer last night, and he took my place. Andy is stupid. Even being stupid wasn't enough for him. Hahaha."

All the blood in Andy's body rippled warmly, and he was going to punch Jerome right now. Disappointed because he got a D score and had to do this research again next year, Andy immediately ran to Jerome, grabbed him by the collar, and slammed the tall man down. "Fuck! It turns out it was you who had lied to me! Take advantage of me and destroy my future!"

Jerome laughed at him, his nose was bleeding, but his face looked very Happy.

"Jerk!" Andy restrained himself. "I will not dirty myself to touch you again. His heart ached; Andy left Jerome alone, accompanied by the sound of Jerome's booming laughter.

Andy regretted one thing; until now, he didn't know who Jerome was talking to. He knew he had someone who didn't like him, but he never knew who had evil plans for him.

Jerome deliberately kept me up late so I couldn't wake up on time. Unfortunately, Fajar and Tony doused me with a bucket full of water to get up and come to campus. Even so, I still failed my research exam, I got a D score, and I have to redo my research assignment next year, Andy thought.

From a distance, Andy saw Jerome was with his friends, and he also saw Andy, then waved. Andy just nodded.

"The Little Fox," Andy whispered; he had just realized that the game did require a high level of special skills; it was only natural that his persuasion had deceived him.

"It's your turn," Fajar reminded Andy. He patted Andy on the shoulder and said again, "Good luck."

A woman came out of the examiner's room and said the name "Andry Chandra", before entering the room, Andy replied, "Thank you. Good luck too."

Fajar smiled at Andy, but then his smile turned into a smirk.

The examiners sat in their seats. Andy's introduction and explanation went fast, and he still remembered what he had compiled himself in his research proposal.

The presentation ended with the sentence, "From the research that I have done, it can be concluded that there are at least ten crucial problems in the economic sector which are expected to be immediately handled properly. The urgency to improve the quantity and quality of economic growth … and the last is the inconsistency of energy subsidy policies."

The examiners nodded their heads.

One by one, they asked, and Andy answered each question correctly. In the next life, Andy is an economist who has worked in a brokerage firm for seventeen years, and he is no longer studying the theory he got from his college. Still, he is also learning directly by practicing every knowledge he can.

"Why can you answer exactly every question we give? Rarely do students understand the problematic allocation of village funds." One of the examiners rubbed his head, and he did not expect this one student to answer correctly.

Seventeen years ago, Andy was utterly silent, and he couldn't even breathe when the questions were barratrously launched at him.

Today I can answer this question. Mr. Leo asked me to find sources for investors who came from this part of the city. One of them came from Kotasari Village. No one knew that in that city, they had an excellent economic base. When I investigated, it turned out that this was because of an economist who is also an investor with a powerful source of funds. We have spent a lot of time together discussing troubled village funds over the last ten years. That person's analysis was robust. The man's name was Mr. Romeo Obidias. In the future, his name will be very influential in the development of Kotasari Village. He was the first to build a remarkably advanced village infrastructure, and he was also the one who made a bridge between Kotasari village and Majumundur City. Local and national newspapers covered his name for up to a month, then the following year, he became Governor of the city. His reign was safe and prosperous. The people lived prosperously in his term of office, Andy spoke in his mind.

"I give you an A because you have explained in great detail and detail every problem correctly as if you came from the future and provided a solution for us," after saying that, the examiner burst into laughter and clapped.

The second examiner clapped along, and he had given his assessment on the form the first examiner had given him.

Beside him sat the third examiner. He looked displeased with the scores announced by the first examiner.

He took out his cell phone and told someone. "I'm sorry I couldn't make him fail this class."

While elsewhere, someone received the message. He squeezed his phone tightly and shouted, "Damn it!"

Andy came out of the examiner's room. His shoulders were straight, and a smile spread across his face.

"How about the result?" Tony asked; he was out five minutes early from the examination room.

"I passed," Andy replied, tears streaming down his face. He's delighted. Seventeen years ago, When he came out of this room, his shoulders slumped from their place. His legs felt weak, and tears couldn't even come out of her eyelids. This was the beginning of his downfall.

Fajar approached him. He was curious about the results of Andy's presentation. "Is it true that you passed?" His eyebrows rose, almost touching.

Andy nodded his head and wiped his tears.

"Congratulations."

"Thank you. What about you?" Andy asked.

"Passed also." Fajar smiled; he smirked, smiling as if sincere until it touched the corners of his eyes.

"We have to celebrate tonight," Tony said.

The three of them smiled happily, then left the waiting room.

No one knew that Jerome was waiting behind the walls of the room. He overheard the conversation between Andy and his two friends.

Unlucky! he cursed in his heart.

His cell phone suddenly rang, and he didn't want to pick it up for whatever reason. He was scared to death. The man had given him a lot of money to make Andy fail his test.

His hands trembled as he held the phone in his hand. He decided to take a leave of absence from college for one semester. That person is hazardous, and he is someone to stay away from. Even though Jerome knew wherever he was going, that person would manage to find him.

Jerome turned around, and he already had a plan in mind. His fault had accepted the devil's offer.

"Where do you want to go?" someone asked in a scary voice.

Jerome's heart seemed to jump from its place. His face turned frightened. "I… I… was going to the cafeteria," said Jerome, his voice shaking.

"Why don't you pick up my phone?" the man asked.

"I was just about to pick it up." There is no truth in his words.

The atmosphere was so tense that evil's aura was so thick that it burst out of that person's body. Jerome's heartbeat grew more robust, and his hands trembled in fear. His knees felt weak as if he couldn't support his legs.

"Take this person," a cruel order was issued with a deadly hiss.

"No! No! Don't! Don't! Please! Help! I tried my best!" shouted Jerome with a face filled with sweat. His request was in vain because now his vision was dark; he could not see his surroundings. That person's bodyguards tied Jerome's eyes so he couldn't see, and in just an instant, Jerome was unconscious.
