Chapter 3 Get your hands off our alpha

Author point of view

Matt Finn, accompanied by his warriors and the pack doctor, runs desperately to the last place where Alpha Drake told him he was. As he approaches the river, he can smell the trace of a rogue. Drake was attacked by rogues. That's all he keeps saying in his mind. Drake can't be hurt! Not him. Matt knows that he needs to calm down. But what he sees when he reaches the river makes him lose his temper. A female rogue, almost naked, drags Alpha Drake into the water and shamelessly touches his naked and wounded body.

What is this? Is it a new and evil game invented by rogues? How dare this woman hurt the alpha Drake and then take advantage of him in this helpless state. Damn woman!

Ava sat with this unknown man in her arms for minutes in the water. Being all frozen, she feels that she is starting to tremble, but despite her condition which seems to be deteriorating slightly due to the cold, Drake Graham's condition seems to be improving. His wolf seems to be helping him heal, so it's not all lost for him, she keeps repeating to herself. Ava is trying to encourage by herself and to resist in the cold water , constantly telling herself that she's doing a good thing,

She feels tired as she holds Drake in her arms and protects his body and tries to get up slightly to get more comfortable and lifts alpha Drake so that his head is now resting on her shoulder, hugging him but he doesn't even manage to stand up. As she sits in a more comfortable position she immediately hears a loud growl. A pack of wolves is approaching her.

"Get your hands off our alpha, you damn rogue!" says the pack leader, clenching his jaw and salivating like a wolf mad with rage.

Ava looked at the man in her arms in panic. Alpha? He is some alpha?

She doesn't even recover from the shock that the man is taken from her arms and taken to a dry place where he is taken over by what appears to be the pack doctor, while she is pushed and falls entirely into the cold water.

"You took advantage of our alpha?" the wolf asked angrily. “ You unhappy and unfortunate werewolf being! ” he says, rushing at her and wrapping his arms around her neck.

"It’s not true!" cried Ava nervously. "I found him wounded and tried to help him. I tried to stop his bleeding and save him, ”Ava shouted at beta Matt Finn, shocking him.

How dare this stinking rogue lift her voice to him! Matt is so angry he still sees black in front of his eyes. He takes Ava by the hair and drags her to the unconscious and bruised cold body of Alpha Drake.

"Look at him!" he tells her, shaking his head. "Look at the way you brought him" he says, smoking with rage.

"I didn't bring him in any condition," Ava shouted, shocking everyone around her. "Why don’t you understand that I found him lying on the ground, full of blood. Look at his bandages, there are pieces of my shirt! Why would I bandage him if I tried to kill him! ” says Ava angrily.

Angel told her that this injured man was just a problem for her, but no. She had to overcome her rogue condition and show that she was capable of doing good.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" Ava kept repeating in her mind.

"Catch her," says Matt Finn. "What happened here will not go unpunished. Rogue, you can just think your life is over!"

"But I didn't do anything wrong!" Ava screams as she is hit and held to the ground by two of the men who accompanied beta Matt Finn.

"Look into my eyes and get your head around it, if you have the ability to understand what you're being told: you are screwed! I will kill you with my bare hands for what you have done to Alpha Drake! ”

Ava struggles and using the power she has been born with, rises to her feet, shocking everyone with her force and says spitting in Matt Finn's face:

“ I DID NOTHING TO HIM! ”

Ava is in the throes of despair. Whoever said that no good deed goes unpunished wasn’t wrong. It is the last act of kindness that she will ever show to anyone. You can't do well and be rewarded with insults.

But Matt Finn is so nervous about the defiant way a rogue dares to answer that he loses his temper. All he knows is that Drake told him that he was under attack and that he was dying and that when he finally found him after the race of his life, he found this indolent rogue , touching the alpha’s Drake naked body and trying to drown him in the water of the river.

Unable to bear it, Matt hits Ava and holds her to the ground. He didn't hit a woman in his life, but a rogue is just a rogue. He pulls out his claws and raises his hand to take Ava's life, but just as he manages to touch her with the tips of his claws, he hears the voice of Alpha Drake:

"Matt , stop!"

He hardly manages to stop before scratching Ava on the neck and shoulder while her blood spurts and begins to flow down dripping everywhere.

"Drake, you are alive!" says Matt , running and kneeling beside him and helping me to stand on his feet.

"Give me some clothes," Drake says, trying to stand up. His wounds are closed now. They are not healed, but his life is no longer in danger.

Drake turns his gaze to where Ava is standing, trying to stop the blood flowing from her throat from the scratches applied by beta Matt .So this is the owner of the voice he kept hearing before fainting ...

He sniffs the air and feels deeply nauseous. Is smelling like rogue.Like a fucking rogue! He's approaching the woman. The symbol of his betrayal stands in front of him. And he realizes that suddenly he hates women with all his heart. How is it possible for him, the alpha Drake Graham, the strongest and most powerful alpha in the world, to be on the verge of death because of a woman?

How is it possible to be handed over to some rogues by the one who was meant to be his soul mate and the love of his life? Here and now alpha Drake is just realizing that what he hates most in the world are women and rogues. And this being in front of him is both.

"Were you paid well to attack me?" Drake says, looking at the woman trying to understand what she's doing in the middle of the forest. He knows that she was not with the pack of rogues who attacked him, but the coincidence is too great and her presence was far too opportunistic.

"Are you insane?" Ava asks, looking at him and regretting every second she struggled to keep him alive. Wasn't it better to let him die?

"I told you so ..." Angel says in her mind, infuriating her even more because she had all the signs in front of her to see her way but she chose to help this cruel alpha.

"Watch your mouth, rogue!" says Matt , rushing toward her. “The facts are clear. You had an attack on Alpha Drake, and then you act the Samaritan merciful role by trying to infiltrate near him. I saw you touching him and caressing his body as he lay unconscious in the middle of the river. And maybe you did more than that! ” says Matt , throwing to Ava his own version of the story.

Drake looks at Ava in disgust and wonders if this woman could have taken advantage of him, but he knows that in a few minutes of consciousness, her voice was balancing and encouraging him to resist. He knows that her hand wiped his blood-soaked forehead and he's definitely alive because of her. He's not dead because she helped him.

"I should have let you die," says Ava in spite.” If I knew I'd end up like that, I'd let you die. " she says to her nerves, although in her heart she knows that she will never do that, but she is so angry at this arrogant alpha that she throws everything in her heart in front of him.

Ava is tired of being thrown to the ground and humiliated. She had enough.

"Maybe you should," Drake says, frowning.

He looks into Ava's eyes. Although she is a rogue, he must admit that this woman is beautiful. She is tall and slim but she has forms, just like his taste. A little bit of breast, a little bit of ass..she is attractive. Her long natural strawberry blond hair ennobles her face and gives her an angelic look. Her hair falls slightly on her shoulders, reaching to the middle of her back. And her face attracts him in an inexplicable way.

He can't explain what's going on, but he realizes that this woman will be the first rogue that he will don't kill instantly. He knows he's alive because of her, but that doesn't give Ava the presumption of innocence in his opinion.

He looked into her blue eyes and Drake could not see a trace of guilt for what had happened in the last few hours. He sees anger, he sees pain and frustration but not guilt. Her eyes are clear like a quiet mountain lake. It just mesmerizes him. Her small straight nose gives her a playful look and her lips…

"Ohh my god!" Drake thinks shuddering, "What am I doing here? “

He looked at her lips and couldn't help but wonder how her lips would feel if they were glued to his. Her thick, fleshy lips, how would it be about biting them? This woman is half rogue, and probably half witch Drake is thinking , because otherwise the totally unjustified attraction he feels towards her will not exist.

This woman is standing in front of him only in an old bustier ,full of blood from the scratches she has and in some old yoga pants and she gives some strange sensations in him, yet his mind is full only of her. But..but… Drake says to himself. Women are not trustworthy. And she's not just a woman, she is also a rogue. What happened today is a life lesson and Drake has learned it to the fullest.

Women are not trustworthy and if you don't let rogues die, they won't let you live.

"Alpha" says one of the warriors who holds Ava in place so as not to escape. "What are we doing with her?"

"Kill her," says Matt , knowing that's what alpha Drake does every time.

Ava feels her heart skipping a beat and in her life she has never felt more panicked than she does now. In her life she did not regret the decisions she made. Not even when she was forced to become a rogue and leave everything she knew. Damn you alpha Drake ! She said to herself.

Just as the two warriors are holding her in place, prepare to kill her she hears the determined voice of Alpha Drake.

"No, don't kill her yet …not yet." he says as if he can't believe it either. All eyes are on him. Ava stares into his eyes and Drake can't find peace.

How did things take him in this position, Drake asks himself ? How was she in the forest when he needed help? Drake doesn't believe in the right man in the right place principle. This woman, this Ava or whatever her name is, she must have a personal plan. And yet, it would have been easy for her to kill him when she found him. And yet he has to admit that he felt good in her arms, he can't say he hated her touch.

So Drake lets a rogue live for the first time in his life after meeting him:

"Take her to the pack. We need to investigate her. I don't understand what's going on with her. Don't kill her … YET”
