Chapter 2 Daring Woman .

He deliberately emphasized the word "disabled, ", adding a flirtatious undertone to it.

Then he leaned closer to her in an overbearing manner.

Feeling uncomfortable, Noe moved to the side. After a moment of doubt, she believed him.

After all, not everyone could enter Theo's villa.

"I don't think it's appropriate to say that about your cousin," She figured, Theo must have had a hard time because even his cousin bad-mouthed him.

Suddenly, Noe felt a sense of empathy for him.

Although the Mills family was wealthy, Theo must have suffered a lot under his conditions for all these years.

There was a flash of surprise in Theo's eyes.

Never did he expect that this ugly woman would say such a thing, he couldn't help scrutinizing her again.

Her hair was dishevelled, and she was wearing a shabby, cotton-padded jacket and a pair of black-rimmed glasses. Her fringe was so thick that it almost covered her eyes.

Also, she had a dull and uneven skin tone, not to mention some freckles on her face. Her appearance turned him off.

This ugly woman was not his fiancée, who was rumoured to be a gorgeous lady.

However, his family did not care about his wife's appearance at all.

All they cared about was her ability to reproduce. Therefore, even if it was a different person from the intended one, they would not look into it.

Theo's eyes flashed. Without warning, he reached out and pushed Noe into the bed.

His tone was full of contempt and malice as he said, "There's no one else here, so you don't have to put on an act. I'll just take it as a good deed and satisfy you."

Then he held his hand out.

"Slap!"

Using all her might, Noe slapped him in the face. "Not everyone has such a filthy mind like you! Get out of here before your cousin arrives. I'll pretend nothing has happened."

Although she had tried her best to remain calm, her trembling hands betrayed her.

On her way to Mills' villa, she had been imagining how ugly Theo would be. Never did she expect she would encounter such a thing.

Theo's face darkened, emanating a bone-chilling aura. "You are the first woman who ever laid a hand on me."

During the struggle, Noe's glasses had fallen off, revealing her clear bright eyes. Her fluttering eyelashes showed her anxiety and fear.

Theo paused for a moment, his heart softened.

Then, he stood up, tidied his clothes, and threw her a sharp glance. "Stay here and wait for that cripple, then."

With that, the door was shut behind him with a bang.

Finally, Noe's tense body relaxed.

Outside the door.

One of the bodyguards was stunned when he spotted the red mark on Theo's face. "Young Master, your face."

Theo touched his face and said with a blank expression, "I was hit by the door."

What kind of door could leave five fingerprints on his face?

However, the bodyguard did not dare to ask further.

He handed over a file folder to Theo and said, "This is the personal information of Madam Noe."

Theo opened the file folder and saw the name labelled on it, Noe William.

He found it ironic that her name sounded so feminine when she had such a rough personality.

He couldn't help but feel that her birth mother was something.

She doted on her stepson and stepdaughter but was vicious toward her biological daughter.

After reading the next line, he frowned and asked the bodyguard, "Is she mentally slow?", Bodyguard nodded.

"Look into it again," Theo instructed with a poker face.

Noe had a well-organized thought process when she spoke, what's more, it was not possible that a mentally slow person was able to rise against him by slapping him in such a situation.

At the thought of that, his face darkened. Then, he threw the file at the bodyguard and said, "Don't come to me if you fail to get me some satisfactory information."
