Chapter 3 Feels good

Next morning, In the room,

Leaning against the headboard, Noe jolted awake and realised that it was already dawn.

Theo did not come back the night before, she felt relieved but heavy at the same time.

It was as if there was a knife hanging over her head, which put her in a state of uneasiness.

After Noe was done washing up and went downstairs, a bodyguard came over and led her to the dining room.

The dining room was close to the kitchen.

As soon as she entered, she saw a tall figure come out of the kitchen holding breakfast.

Once she realised that man was 'Evan', she turned around and wanted to leave.

Before she could leave, Theo said, "Good morning, Noe."

His voice was pleasing to the ear, but also very frivolous.

Bodyguard's shoulders trembled slightly.

"Is Young Master Theo role-playing with Madam Noe?" he wondered.

Noe was disgusted at the sight of him, she could not fathom why Noe's cousin would stay at his house every day.

"Morning." She pushed her glasses up and greeted him briefly.

After that, she turned to ask the bodyguard behind her, "Where is Theo?"

Bodyguard shot Theo a look, who had no expression on his face.

He then braced himself and lied through his teeth, "Young Master Theo has not been feeling well recently. He is in the hospital."

On the outside, Noe might have looked dumb.

Since young, she had been forbidden by Helen to steal her stepbrother and stepsister's limelight.

Therefore, she had been putting on an act all the while, hiding her actual strength.

Such an outrageous lie could not fool her.

She gave a nod of acknowledgement and asked, "Can I visit him, then?"

"Um, I'm afraid it's not too convenient," bodyguard continued to lie.

Theo despised her so much that he even refused to see her.

Theo put the breakfast on the table and said flatly, "Let's have breakfast."

Since earlier when she came down, Noe had realised that there were no servants in the villa. Was he the one who prepared breakfast?

"What's wrong? Are you afraid that I'll poison you?" Theo asked while leaning closer to her. His icy-cold eyes sent chills down her spine.

Noe instinctively took a step backwards and said, "Thanks for your breakfast, but I'm not hungry."

After that, she turned around and left the dining room in a hurry.

In the living room, she met a bodyguard who had gone to pick her up the day before. "Can you please give me a lift to William Villa? I need to go back to get something."

She brought nothing with her when she came the previous day.

Thus, she had to go back to pack her belongings such as clothes and the like. On her way there, she noticed that the villa was built halfway up a hill.

It would be troublesome for her to take public transport from there.

Bodyguard did not answer her immediately. Instead, he glanced toward the direction behind her.

Noe turned her head and was stunned to see 'Evan' standing behind her.

Putting his hands in the pockets of his pants, he walked over slowly and said, "Did I hear Noe wants to go home and get her stuff? I'll drive her then."

As soon as he finished speaking, he threw his arm around her shoulders.

Noe shook his hands with contempt and rejected, "There's no need."

Didn't he just despise her look the night before? Why was he pestering her now?

The bodyguard next to her chimed in, "Madam Noe, just let Young Master Theo-... Evan send you home."

In the end, it was 'Evan' who sent Noe back to William Villa.

He had whispered in her ear, "It feels good touching your body."

Noe was afraid that he would do something out of line again.

Therefore, she had no choice but to get into his car.

In the confined and quiet space, Noe held on to the seat belt tightly and looked straight ahead without sparing a glance at 'Evan'.

Watching her expression, a flash of interest crossed Theo's face.

Although his newly-wed wife was not good-looking, she was upright.

The day before, he had just wanted to tease her. However, her reaction was so fascinating that he wanted to continue this game.
