Chapter 48 Smashing the Door

Seeing no response from Noe, Hailey quickly explained, "Noe, I was too occupied in the past. I didn't even have time to have a meal with you. I'm really sorry, please don't blame me."

If Hailey were to invite Noe to a meal in the past, Noe would be overjoyed.

How could Hailey come up with such a lame excuse?

She was a full time homemaker. Furthermore, she had plenty of servants at home. What in the world could she be occupied with?

Noe remembered vividly that there was once, Hailey had promised to go for a movie with her.

However, Hailey was nowhere to be seen even after the movie had ended.

Only when Noe returned home did she find out that Hailey had gone to pick Vivi up from a bar as she had gotten herself drunk again. Hailey did not even bother to make a call to Noe, leaving her waiting at the movie theater.

Noe said with a faint smile. "Sure. Send me the address."

After hanging up the phone, she noticed Lawrence was staring at her with a disappointed look on her face.
