Chapter 32 Agree for the Engagement

Few days later,

Gabriel Havels was in his home office, looking at the documents when he heard a knock on the door. He tilted his head and saw Kimberly and Amanda standing by the door. He slight frown marked his face but didn't jump to any conclusion as to why they looked worried and nervous. He closed the file and rose from the chair.

He never did family-related conversations in his office which was rather offensive to Kimberly as she thought that the Mayor didn't trust her enough.

“There is something we need to talk to you about,” Kimberly said with a smile, glancing at Amanda who stood beside her fidgeting with her fingers.

The Mayor nodded and the three headed to the living room down the stairs. The Mayor ignored the whispers of the two women from his behind which was annoying. He didn't like gossiping or talking about anything behind his back.
