Abby Brooks, who spent her life being single, had always dreamt of being a different case than everybody else—she wanted to have a child and raise that child on her own.
And one night, her dream was fulfilled when she met a brokenhearted, handsome man at a club. He was the perfect candidate in her eyes. It didn't take long before things got heated after several drinks, and they spent the night together. She felt bad for taking advantage of him, but then again, she swore to herself that it would be the last time they'd see each other. Things took a turn when the old president that she worked for suddenly died, and it turns out that the heir is none other than the man she had slept with that night.
And to make things worse, that man recognized her at first glance.

"Abby Brooks,"A grin appeared on his face. "Tell me why you disappeared after f*cking me that night."

["So cranky early in the morning, my dear. Who pushed your buttons?"]


"Leave me alone, i'm headed to hell right now." I replied, looking ahead of the road as I noticed us nearing to our destination.


["Then do you want to stay with me? I can persuade your father if you want."]


I sighed. "It's fine, I don't want to worry my mother any more than this."


["Ok. Did you get home safe last night?"]


I can't believe this guy is asking me this. When in reality, as I got back to my house yesterday, I noticed some of his men guarding our area. I wasn't dumb, it was obvious that Raphael had sent his guards to pretend to be civillians around my area. The multiple gazes, and the suspicious eyes of his men was enough for me to not dare go outside.


Even I could tell that some of the cars behind us were Raphael's bodyguards tailing us.


["It's for your protection, dear. No need to question me."]
