Zain slowly fluttered his eyes open and saw the blinding light of the hospital room. He tried to sit down but found himself unable to due to the intense pain on the back of his head.

“You’ve woken up! No, don’t even try to sit down just yet, take it easy, Zain.” He saw Duncan in the hospital’s room. The man seemed worried. Zain was still somewhat sleepy thanks to the sedative they gave him, but he was able to open his mouth to speak.

“What happened? Why am I here?” He asked. Duncan grabbed a chair and sat down beside him, explaining everything.

“You passed out in your home. You were lucky because I was there and I don’t even know how you managed to drive back with that wound in your head, it was a miracle. If you passed out in your car, you may suffer extreme blood loss. The doctor gave you seven stitches. You were bleeding and it scared me so much.” He explained.
