With hesitant steps and a kitchen knife in hand, Claire makes her way to the storeroom where the noise came from. The lights in the tiny room were off as usual yet the soft wind hitting her nose tells her that she had forgotten to shut the window. Claire could tell the Rogue is smirking with his face so close to hers and as his grip tightens on her throat, her air supply gets cut short. Her lips quiver only to say one word, "..Mate..."

Julian looks at me with a raised eyebrow before his eyes quickly scan me. I try my best to not show my fears but I could tell that I'm doing a horrible job. The male slowly pulls away from the wall and stands straight.


"It's obvious how you train yourself day in day out.", he speaks before his blue orbs land to the bandage on my cheek, "And you show yourself close to no mercy." I blink for a moment, failing to understand what he is trying to say.


"What do you...mean?", I dare ask and he lets out a soft sigh before averting his face.


"Okay, I admit. I did some research on you." My eyes widen even more at his words. "I was curious...when I heard the warriors bad-mouth you...and I got to know how your wolf is weaker than...umm..."
